Saddened to learn this restaurant closed up business. Does anyone know where the chef landed? He had some great skills.

Sad to report Zekes just posted they are permanently closed. We were in for breakfast about month ago and was wonderful, as usual. Shortly after they "temporarily" closed for staffing issues. Now they closed permanently they say. Such a loss for our community. Best breakfasts ever. Will miss them.

We googled “best fish sandwich near me” and were led to Zeke’s redfish sandwich. I called for carryout around 11 a.m. and was told it would be 90 minutes, because they were setting up the kitchen. (???) Ok, I’ll wait for the best fish sandwich in Englewood. I walked in right at 12:30, watched a server carry my bag of food out and look around, and it was another 10 minutes before the bartender could track her down to give me my food. We found the sandwiches to be just ok. Large, but not a lot of flavor. And expensive, $17 each. Not at all what we were hoping for.

When they were at the marina their crab cakes were off the charts, mostly crab, dipping sauce, and a load of fries. Then they moved and got all uppity, hard to get waited on. Then, the crab cakes got smaller and smaller, mostly filler. A bs drizzle of the dipping sauce. They ruined a great thing. Just look at the dishes they show, totally snobbish presentation, instead of great food, a good price and a great location.

Great service and atmosphere. Our party of 10 showed up with ten minutes to close ? we honestly didn’t realize it. They were more than accommodating and waited on us for an hour and a half. The nicest waiter, went over and beyond to make sure that our experience was a great one. The food was very delicious, that chef and his team are extremely talented. I recommend 1000x over! If you’re in Englewood, stop by Zeke’s; guaranteed to get amazing service and quality cuisine.

I’m really sad to write this review because we’ve been huge fans of Zeke’s for years but my experience was so bad I feel the need to warn others. The only positive thing I can say is that the food is still good. The hostess was slow and mumbled and took 5 minutes to dig through a basket to find two crumpled, stained and barely legible paper menus. After being seated, our waitress arrived sweaty and dazed with rotten teeth and sores all over her arms. Her clothes were stai

Her clothes were stained and baggy and very unprofessional. Our drinks took 20 min to arrive and she got them wrong. It took exactly one hour for our breakfast to arrive. Asked for butter and never got it. Asked for a to go cup and never got it. Wanted drink refills but we were never asked nor did we see anyone to ask. There were flies everywhere landing on food and people as they ate. Our check came to $57.86 for two breakfasts and 4 bloody Mary’s. Service was horrendous and disgusting. I was actually embarrassed for Englewood if tourists come to see this type of presentation at a popular restaurant in our town. I hope the place stays open and takes these reviews to heart and strives to improve. I don’t want to see Zeke’s close but I won’t be going back for a LONG LONG time if ever.

I cant remember the name of the shrimp appetizer but it was really good. The sauce was great (one of those times you try to guess at the ingredients because it is so unique). Our server was very attentive and friendly. Seemed to be a newer restaurant and they definitely have service figured out.

We are new to the area but had heard of this place so figured on our way back from house hunting, we'll give it a go.It did not disappoint. Friendly greeting when my wife and I walked in, took our seats at the bar and had beers/menus in our hands within a few minutes. The Calico Chicken Tacos were some of the best tacos I have ever had. The flavor was never-ending, whatever spice, sauce that was just made it. Wife had chicken salad, mango dressing with the little flowered strawberry, delish in the dish.Service was great, everyone was very outgoing, even had some laughs at the bar. We will return for sure.

I cannot believe we didn't find this place sooner! The service and food were absolutely amazing. Every bite of every dish we had was better than the last. Can't wait to go back. ?

Great food, but slow service. One cook, one server can't keep up. Breakfasts are especially good, but you can't be in a hurry.

We were attracted to their menu online. Huge variety and imaginative dishes. We were there on Father's day and we were very disappointed. I ordered the Zuevos Rancheros, which sounded wonderful. It was inedible! I should have returned it but tried to eat it. The tortillas were so hard I had trouble cutting them with a sharp knife! The eggs were medium, not well done as ordered. There wasn't any bacon! There were a few hard black beans. There weren't any scallions. There was plenty of salsa. It was a terrible dish. In contrast my wife had a quiche. It was nice, the crust was very nice but the eggs were way over cooked. We should have left when we first arrived as the staff all looked unkept and the cleanliness of the restaurant in general was not the best. This could be such a great experience if they would just serve what is listed on the menu...

The food is pretty good but I'm not sure it's worth an hour and a half wait. They're so short staffed. I feel bad for the wait staff. My advice is to skip it until they get their staffing levels up unless you have all day to wait for a simple order.

Food was really good but as others have said the service is lacking! We didn’t wait to be seated as no one was there when we went, it was around 6:30 mid-week. It seemed to take awhile to get things. Had to ask for refills. Waitress was nice but could have been a little better considering there was one other couple there besides us by the time we left.

The homemade kettle chips are beyond the normal chip fare. They are awesome. The food here is the best. The place is family owned and really popular with the locals!
