This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants to go to. It reminds me of the one in my home town. I know that if I want some good comforting food and smiling faces this is the place to go. One of the women who works there (pretty much there all the time either cooking or checking people out) is always very kind.
The food was average. Walking in to pick up a take out order I noticed a display of the different size container options. The wall display, which is right next to the cash register, was caked with dust. The floors were dirty. It is dark and dingy in the back kitchen that is visible from the register. After seeing the lack of effort to keep the public spaces clean, I can only imagine the shortcuts taken in back of house. This was the first time ordering from China King. The food was mediocre. I ordered shrimp fried rice, which is exactly what it was...shrimp and rice. No vegetables, no eggs, no nothing, just rice covered with soy sauce with shrimp on top. It was just blah. My fiance ordered the beef lo mein. He said it was just okay.
