Amazing food great drinks and people are fantastic

My wife and I had a lovely evening dining at Piccolo. The meal was well prepared and tasty; the wine pairing was excellent and the service was exceptional. Chef even came out and had a chat with the last few diners. Would definitely recommend. Seems the menu changes frequently, so check if you're going for a specific item.

The food is always delicious. The only people in the restaurant: there was a wedding party and my party of five. I like going there not only is the food consistent; but it is a place to dine and to spend the evening.

Food was good. Customer service was lacking but worst of all, the chef was a total jerk! I saw his reaction to a special request that was quite simple. I won't be coming back.

We felt like we were dining in a family trattoria in Rome . Our hostess/waitress was warm and personable and made us feel at home. She perfectly described the dishes and helped with recommendations. Their menu is small but we enjoyed every course. Salad was beautiful and perfectly dressed with a light lemony vinaigrette and the three meat meatballs had a great depth of flavor. We liked the bison Bolognese and the fusilli amatrichanna as our main courses. We would order them again. And dessert was an awesome peach cobbler. This was our first visit but won't be our last. In a town with many great Italian restaurants this one is one of the best.

We were looking for a new Italian restaurant in town (we're veterans of the big 2) and figured we would try Piccolo because it's close by. We were greeted warmly by the owner and were blown away by the quality of food. The menu was very creative for an Italian restaurant. Prices may seem high for pasta dishes, but you're paying for better ingredients and the creativity I mentioned earlier. Our only critique is that they could probably use a couple of standard appetizers for diners not looking to stray too far. Highly recommend! Give it a shot

Piccolo is a great little Italian gem tucked away among the restaurants on Commercial. It's tiny with about 5-6 tables only. We were the only ones there when we arrived at 8pm on a Saturday night and saw one other (vegan) couple come and go while we took our time dining. Now for the food: There was no seafood on the menu, and the overall choices were limited to 1 steak, 1 poultry, and 1 pasta - all unique dishes as well. The food was excellent! My husband and I both got the duck pasta special that night, and it was filling and absolutely delicious. Piccolo is family owned and that shows in the high-quality service as well.

The server was the owners brother in law and he was very attentive and good. The kitchen did not follow the food requests and the food was very salty. I felt it was also overpriced for what you got. Will not return.

Always a pleasure to dine at Piccolo's. A small place where a reservation would be strongly suggested. They have an good wine list but patron's can bring their own choices with a corkage fee. Entree's are seasonable an creative, with many of the favorites on a menu rotation. This evening Lamb chops were the meat of choice, other times it can be a veal chop or a Fillet. There is always a special of a fish as well as a game bird . Pasta is always plentiful too. Coffee is made by the cup so it is always wonderful and fresh.

Took old friends, both first generation Italians, on recommendation of a friend. He had quail because it reminded him of boyhood hunting trips with his father. She and I had short ribs. Great comfort food seldom found on restaurant menus. All were delicious except I was ill all night after (need to stay away from fatty meats I found). What we also enjoyed was the intimate ambience and ability to have a private conversation without other diners chatting loudly or wait staff interruption of our conversation to inquire how we were enjoying everything.

Piccolo is our favorite special go to in pompano beach. Family operated, the welcome is warm and service impeccable. The food is fantastic. Only a few entrees each night, but each is prepared with the highest degree of chef skill It is a little pricey, but you get good value with interesting preparations. I only gave a slight downgrade for ambiance because it needs more diners. Most times we go there are few tables occupied so it feels a little lonly. But please go and patronize this gem of a restaurant

Andre the Chef and his wife and other family (a new addition is coming in March) serve outstanding special South American classical Italian deliciousness. Amatriciana rotini was goodly spiced and al dente; the house meatball superb; the funghi risotto was superb and the recommended wine was a great pairing. Lots of service yet no intrusion to our small talk with friend went uninterrupted. Of course forcing us to have a dessert with4 spoons--Chocolate brulee--was wicked!!.
