Been here a few times and we really like supporting small businesses. However today we ordered soup for lunch. Got one (1) beef on a bone...just one piece....like seriously? Half cooked rice and corn. Still kind of tough. It was like a kids meal. Won't be returning at this place.

If you were nearby El calero, you owe to them to call order everything, take a walk down and & try everything off the menu. They occasionally take a little while to make your food because it's made from scratch. Trust me it's worth it and will cost you about one McDonald's meal for everything.Smoothies are good and incredibly well. Priced horchata is so good and they always hook it up with light ice. Perfect. The most beautiful people. Lovely atmosphere, always have space to party! The pupusas are so good and for $3.50 I think they are too cheap, so make sure to go and buy plenty before they raise the prices as they should.

I've been here many times. Good food but today there was a piece of disinfecting wipe in my soup. Time to find a new Salvadoran place.
Friendly staff and delicious food. I ordered to go and it took about 15 minutes to prepare. Next time I'll order on the phone in advance. Regardless, this is highly recommended.

The soup was nasty, good service , but is not a family restaurant, too many drunk people raising their voices and using an awful language.

The service was great. The place is clean and well decorated. They have a jukebox that you Can pay and select music. There are two large TVs showing sports. The papusa was excellent. The baleada had mayo that squirted out when bitten into. I did like the fresh tortilla. The steak quesadilla was filled with quality meat. It came with a side of Mayo, rice and what should have been beans, but was only bean sauce. They were no beans in the ramekin. Not sure why it was served with Mayo. It didn't taste or look like Crema. The steak taco was excellent. The tortillas was thicker than usual but tasted fresh. The fried corn tamale is not what I'm used to. It had a crispy shell to it and was sweet. I'm used to more of a tamale texture with corn cornels. It too was served with Mayo. We parked on a side street a block away and walked. We weren't sure where their parking lot was located. Overall, it was good. but I prefer other Salvadoran restaurants better.
