Everytime we've visited the area, its been hard to find a nice neighborhood bar. Most places are more like clubs. We were so glad to find Mona's. Everyone - the staff and the clientele- were so cool and welcoming. Dean was the best and the bar back (I sorry I never got his name). Dean went through the history behind the furniture and some of the art. It was a little out of the way but we're so glad we made the trek!
I've been living in Broward County around Wilton Manors for over 4 years, and I just found out about Mona's bar less than a week ago.I'm embarrassed! It's an absolutely pleasant and quiet place. On Sunday late evening, the bar is almost empty, but everyone is open to conversation, making new acquaintances, and having a pleasant evening.I recommend this time for a visit to those who aren't looking for loud music, noisy crowds, and entertainment programs.I'm glad to see both old...read full review

A little jewel in the rough. I’ve lived in Ft Lauderdale for 14 years and never been to this bar. My cousin and his husband took me there and I’m so glad they did. It was warm and patrons were very friendly.
