It's Closed. Nick's Italian Restaurant permanently abruptly closed on May 31st. But it will become the new location of Cafe Vico, one of my Italian food favorites.

Hi everyone, my name is Alex I am tourist, and most say that this place is AMAZING, I came for a week to ft Lauderdale and in not other place the food tasted as good as here; especially the "vodka" plates. I suggest you sit down to enjoy your meal, the place is clean, smells wonderful and the staff is courteous as it can be. Thanks for the service and dedication you put in your food. Btw my wife and kid loved the pizza

Got the take out meal for 2 that fed 3 of us. Lasagna and Chicken Piccata were both delicious. Garlic bread, 2 salads and a dessert (cheesecake) to split. Enjoyed their meat lovers pizza a few weeks before.
The worst dining experience I can remember ever having. Meal took in excess of 3 hours. We sat down at 4:45 and were there till almost 8 pm. Place was more than half empty when we left and we are probably one of 4 tables when we got there. Waitress was nice, and I would take a nice waitress with bad service over the opposite but when I asked the difference between franchise and piccata she said she didn't know. Never served us bread. Soup came out after the meal. One of the meals came out with the wrong side and didn't make it back to the table till everyone else was done. Food was not terrible but the experience was so bad. Probably worst part was the "manager" Gerry, taking to go orders adjacent to our table, so we had to hear "Nick's Italian Restaurant, Gerry speaking ...." in a loud voice throughout the entire meal. Check came out with things on the bill that we didn't order. That took 15 minutes to fix. Then when we finally went to pay, and asked to split the bill, the waitress was MIA for almost 30 minutes, comes back and puts some receipts on the table and says, "Can you figure this out?" We had to review the charge slips and come to see she charged one of the cards twice. We said don't worry, that's okay, cause she was clearly lost. We get out side to see she actually charged the card 3 times. Go back in to talk to the manager, who proceeds to charge that card a 4th time saying he voided out the other charges. We asked when will we see the refund, he says 2-3 days!! This was $64 four times so an extra $128! That is a lot of money that we won't have use of over the weekend. He was so unapologetic and said "She screwed up!" "What do you want me to do?!" Nice manager!! Really that bad!!!

First off I would like to say the restaurant was not busy. After waiting almost 15 minutes for a server to greet us, it then took another 15 minutes to get our waters. Our salad looked old. Several browned lettuce pieces. The food wasn't very flavorful. Considering the price we truly expected it to be better. The server was nice but not very attentive.

Drove by 100 times and finally came in.Larry our waiter was phenomenal.Great recommendations and great commentary by Lee.We tried the pizza I was very impressed reminded me of back home in Philly.And the lasagna was to die for.Can’t wait to come back
