I read that they were closing/moving so today I drove 9 miles in the pouring rain to have some since I have not been there in years. When I got there the open sign was lit up (5:30 pm). I had already checked their website for menu and times, it said open until 7pm. Sign said drive thru only so I called and got a message that said they close at 4:30pm. On the drive home a man from Skyline Chili called me, I said I drove there but they were closed. I said the website.. he stopped me and started yelling at me that they do not have a website, and all their ads say close at 4:30. I took 2 screenshots of their website it says open until 7pm. So rude, there was no reason at all to start yelling at me. I am glad they were closed and did not get my money!!! Wherever they move to I WILL NOT go!

I got in the drive thru at 6:28pm. After 52 minutes of waiting, at 7:20, I finally made it to the window to order and was informed they were closed. There were numerous cars still in line behind me. If they closed promptly at 7pm without serving those already in line, it’s still incredibly unprofessional, but there is zero excuse for having people continue to wait only to not serve them. If they’d have at least had the decency to inform cars in line, I’d have only wasted 32 minutes instead of 52. A lot of people have posted negative reviews about the drive thru service, and I have zero issue with it being completely drive thru or the long wait times, but the way it was operated is absolutely unconscionable to allow people to waste that kind of time and not even serve them food or apologize.UPDATE: The owner posted a response claiming to have informed those in line at 6:50pm that the line was closed, which simply isn’t true. Regardless, I was in line 22 minutes PRIOR to that. The parking lot nor line was roped off. I certainly wouldn’t have waited, nor would have multiple other cars behind me. He also accused me of being profane which is impressive considering I never spoke with a single employee—instead, I was just rudely gestured at when I got to the window after having waited for close to an hour. Mistakes happen, but at least take accountability. I left a voicemail for the owner to try to clear thing up and yet again give the benefit of the doubt, and he left a return voicemail again failing to apologize and saying that people were vile. I was never rude to a single employee because not even a single employee had the decency to communicate. It’s unfortunate if the owner has dealt with rude individuals in the past, but having dealt with him now, I feel his lack of professionalism was the likely cause. Acknowledging mistakes and apologizing goes a long way; trying to place the blame on others and being rude to customers for your mistakes is not a good business practice. I’ll be contacting corporate now given his response and filing a complaint with the BBB. I’m incredibly disappointed in the tone of the owner and his lack of professionalism in dealing with those who are trying to support a local business.

An admittedly acquired taste, I came to love eating Skyline as a child growing up in Cincinnati. We would always go there as a treat when our swim team won, so it tasted like victory to me.I live in Fort Lauderdale now, and I eat there once or twice a week. It’s prep cooked, so it’s not exactly “slow food”, but it involves glasses, plates, and non-disposable utensils. The people are friendly, and after a few visits, the staff recognizes me and, are really friendly.I absolutely love eating here.

Never had the food here. No way in hell to get a truck into the drive through. Looks good but horrible location.

They are apparently closing and given the attitude of the lady in the drive thru window, they probably should. Our order was completely wrong and they made it seem like such a hassle to fix. Best hot dogs in town.

Who doesn’t love this place?!? We always make a point to stop. We get the coney dogs and the four way chili every time. Always friendly service and a must visit!

Being from from Cincinnati, OH, my mom grew up on Skyline's chilli. However, now that she's vegetarian, she thought she wouldn't be able to have it again. I was driving and, to my surprise, I passed a Skyline -- I thought they were only in Ohio! So, if course I made a U-turn. We tried the vegetarian chilli with the 3- and 4-way and everything was absolutely delicious! It seemed too simple for any kind of wow factor, but trust me when I say you'll be scarfing the whole plate down right after your 1st bite. The customer service was amazing as well. They explained how the menu works, so I didn't feel too overwhelmed, and were so nice. We're definitely going back ASAP lol! P.S. Try their hot sauce, too! You won't regret it.

Love this place. At least once a month my family and I travel to Ft Lauderdale from Orlando. Keep up the great service and food. Don't know what we would do if this skyline would close. Don't even want to think about that.

Love this Skyline!!! Have been eating here since the 70's. Have had it all over the midwest but this one is the best. Remember eating along side Coach Trainor and he knows what is good!

After eating here for over 30 years I am so disappointed how you are giving in as an all American restraunt. Drive up only - you have plenty of room to have sit down eating like so many restraunts are doing . Then not only am I forced to sit in my car and eat, but now you also don't have straws. I hear how there not allowed but restraunts all around you still provide them.So sorry to see you giving in to the nonsense.

Im a Cincy native, so this is my comfort food. The manager is wonderful and I am always happy when Donna is working; she always gets my veggie chili sandwiches just right!?

WHY did i think this spot was closed?? ITS NOT! Its open and has a drive thru window for your convenience!I am rarely down in this area anymore but was so glad to see Skyline with some business/ How could I not stop in and grab some coney island dogs! I followed the drive thru they have set up along the north side of the building and ordered effortlessly. Within a few seconds I had my coney dogs and was on my way. This has ALWAYS been my go to skyline location (there is one out west on university drive south of lauderhill) and I have eaten at both locations this one feels like home. WHENEVER I am in the area I dont care what I am doing I go in and get some dogs or my other favorite the 3 way pasta which is pasta with onions chili and cheese. DELICIOUS! Hopefully one day I will eat at one in Ohio where skyline was started! You can buy cans of the skyline chili and you can also buy oyster crackers. Only thing you cant buy are their signature mini hot dogs. They really make the meal pop!If you are a skyline virgin they also sell frozen boston cream pie. A must have if you love cream and chocolate! Thanks for the coneys and for being my most favorite place to get GREAT hot dogs!!!!
