Food excellent…Service, not so much, but it is entirely because there was only one person. Too bad because I’m sure not their fault. I would recommend highly if they are not busy.

Cafe Italia boxes way above its weight class. A wonderful family-owned restaurant, Cafe Italia features authentic Italian cuisine including excellent pasta as well as lighter fare. The wine list is terrific too. This is absolutely my favorite place to eat in the area and I look forward to returning many more times!

We thoroughly enjoyed our italian meal here. Suggest reservations as this is a very popular place. My husband and friends ordered the lasagna while I went for the crepe. Both choices were great. Good homemade bread and a great house salad. Prices were very reasonable and the service was extremely friendly and on point.

Very rare you stumble across a gem like this one. Don't let the quaint store front fool you - this place is a 10! We started with a great Cabernet (house recommendation) and salads. Amazing Caesar and insulata Caprese. Dinner was the lobster ravioli and the spinach and ricotta crepes. Denise and Miguel (chef) are our new BFFs. We will be back!!

Understated restaurant which serves authentic Italian food that has absolutely delicious and very well priced. Wine prices are fair as well. Staff are very friendly. We had the crustini, carpaccio Di Manzo, lobster ravioli and the Osso Bucco ravioli and they were all phenomenal. Having dined in Italy and experienced the real things, Cafe Italia certain delivers the real deal. We'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes and enjoy our new favourites.

MAKE a reservation! I wish my group was able to eat here. We walked over from a nearby hotel with a group of 5 and we’re unable to be seated an hour from close. We were disappointed as my friend who checked them out online saw the amazing reviews, I can’t say anything about the food but it all looking amazing and I wish we would have been able to dine in. The only reason I’m writing a review is because I wish there was something to say they get quite full as we would have called earlier. I was also slightly disappointed with how the waitress treated us to let us know we were unable to be seated, although I understand they were VERY busy.

While vacationing in Ft. Myers I tried to find a restaurant with Italian food. We decided to go here because of the reviews. We both got Spaghetti and Meatballs. It was delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was just the right amount of spice. The bread is delicious too. I'm so glad we went. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's a real gem on the inside.

MAKE A RESERVATION. My friend researched this restaurant and our party of 5 was very excited to come, unfortunately they were full and were able to seat us an hour before closing on a Saturday. Can’t comment on the food but it all sounds great!

Yes, oh yes, you can certainly believe the positive reviews written about Café Italia in Fort Meyers Florida. The taste is authentic Italian and the service is professional yet friendly at this family owned restaurant. It is in an unassuming strip mall but don’t be deterred, the ambiance is romantic. The food is fabulous and reasonably priced. We started with a soothing glass of Chianti, reasonably priced at $6 nicely paired with the complementary olive tapenade and delicious homemade bread. The bread seemed authentic crispy crust and airy center. I was thinking that they used “mother“ from a starter dough Imported from Italy. My husband and I shared two entrées the chef did something that I rarely seen done but I am grateful for; he split our entrées in halves so that we each received individual plates instead of sharing. It is the little things like this that make this place extra special! Delicious Porcini Ravioli Noce Mascarpone: creamy mild with a hint of umami from the mushrooms, so delicious I scraped the sauce off the plate with bread (it looked as if I licked my plate clean) and oh the stuffed shrimp, large sweet tender shrimp is not to be missed.

Nice place but very disappointed when told it would take an hour for a bowl of take out soup. Takes 30 seconds to put some soup in a cup and that was not possible.
