Is DJ Chinese closed because of their lease not being renewed and if so does anyone know if they will reopen somewhere else.???I know they are closed Tuesday and Wednesday.. I called today 21 March at least 4 different times since noon and no answer.. any info would be appreciated, their Chinese food is amazing.

Apparently the restaurant has closed down for good.

Have always loved coming here. Was very sad today when we came for dinner and there was a sign on the door saying “Permanently Closed”My husband and I have been coming for the Dim Sum for years and they never disappointed. There’s just no where else as good in the neighborhood for Dim Sum. I have my fingers crossed that they can reopen one day ❤️‍

Our all time favorite Chinese food here in Florida. Always on point. Great service and very well priced. Excellent Dim Sum options.

An exercise in futility ... but I persevere! +++ House special wonton soup takes my review from one star to two. NOT worth the price, with a paltry amount of shrimp and other costly ingredients. Flavorful broth. Stick to regular wonton. +++ Beef chow fun. Mushy. Almost flavorless. (We resorted to jazzing it up with Siracha, which certainly does not belong on chow fun.) Not much meat; what was there was oddly soft. +++ Salt and pepper squid. C'mon, you must be kidding. It tasted like chicken fingers! Overloaded in a thick, tasteless batter covering gummy squid that likely came from the freezer. An observation: if you're contemplating something that could be prepared fried, my advice is DON'T. Another table ordered sweet and sour chicken. It didn't look much different than the squid, covered in the same horrible coating, with nothing much else. (I'm guessing it's DJ's go-to method of preparation.) It's odd with all the transplanted folks in Fort Myers -- most complaining on various sites about bad-to-mediocre Chinese restaurants -- that some accomplished chef doesn't swoop in and open a really good Cantonese or Szechuan restaurant. He or she would make a killing!

Thursday evvening/TO GO Order ... Nice joint, had 3 entrees, Chow mein, Egg Foo Young w/gravy on the side and Mongolian Beef which wasn't too spicey as ordered, qll 3 were very good with good White Rice. Egg roll was a Spring Roll deep fried, I'd give it a 6. Very tasty.

I come to Fort Myers at once a year and look forward to eating at DJ's. It's quaint and the facade is misleading which makes the quality of food such a wonderful surprise. The food is amazing. The older lady who waits on us is very pleasant and though she doesn't speak much, she has always been very kind and accommodating. I don't go to chit chat but to eat. I love this place!

Good service and food was probably the best I have had in this area. I lived in China for 21 years and it is very hard to find real chinese food

Definitely not great. Everything tasted the same. Bland. Asked for extra spicy and there still was zero spice. Won't be back.
