I'm a fan! I'm gluten free and my girl is vegan and we ate like fat kids. The food is delicious and the portions are great. That sangarita drink of theirs is amazing.

Everything was good until a few days later when they must have finally ran the receipts. Someone decided to give themselves a BIGGER tip than what I originally gave them. So watch it at this place they have a theft among them.

It was a miserable experience. Imagine being a big guy with a group of seniors citizens two of whom have physical ailments (both using walkers) ...then all being jammed into a narrow booth -packed in like a can of sardines. ( We would have gladly waited for a table). The service started out okay, but she seldom returned to check on beverages or to deal with other requests...two members wanted to order deserts, but changed their minds since she came out with the check before asking if they needed anything else. I had a burrito dinner which was very dry & hard to swallow... another beverage would have helped. The oldest one in the group barely touched her dinner, not sure why. My mother said that her meal was good, but the shrimp appeared to be covered in green food coloring...I tried one of her shrimp & it tasted very bland to me. It was fresh, but it had no seasoning, only coloring. Mom did enjoy her birthday fried ice cream. Yes, it was suppose to be a special occasion, but the service & table seating made it uncomfortable for everyone. Like I said, the others wanted to also order the ice cream after trying moms, but they never got an opportunity to order again. My back is still not quite right from that booth & I didn't dare eat any salsas because I didn't want to ruin my shirt, since I couldn't lean over my plate. It was my mom's idea to go there for her birthday...but I won't be bringing them back anytime soon.

Food was good. The drinks were phenomenal. Service was great. Overheard our waitress tell a military man that they do not give military discounts at this establishment. My daughter and I picked up his tab and thanked him for his service and told the waitress to tell Management we were sorely disappointed.

I haven't been able to say 'whatta deal' about restaurants since moving to FL. That is, until Sunday. Whatta deal! Iguana Mia's $39.99 weekend special includes steak and/or chicken fajitas for two, a choice of queso or guacamole, and a pitcher of margaritas, sangria or soda. Everything was deeee-lish! Did I mention all this for $39.99?! Chips are served warm with a carousel of chunky salsa, pico de gallo and two other spreads. If none of those suit you, reach for the squirt bottles and try six other dips. You get a good-sized serving of guacamole that appears to be freshly made. Specify either mild or spicy. If you don't want chicken or beef fajitas, pay $4 per person extra, and upgrade to shrimp. Beef was marinated, but somewhat chewy. Strips of white meat chicken -- served btw on a sizzling platter -- perfect! Plates come with tortillas, rice (your choice of yellow or Mexican), beans (black or pinto) and other accoutrements. Our full liter of margaritas was fruity and potent. Just as I like it! The restaurant's decor reminded me of a Frida Kahlo painting. So there you have it: great food, a responsive server and a folksy setting.

First timer. Came on a Monday (which was $2 Margarita night). Our server was prompt and courteous. We were greeted with a large basket of chips and various salsas and sauces. My Chimichanga was huge and the the rice and pinto beans were hot and delicious. The place was busy, which I took as a good sign. I highly recommend Iguana Mia of Fort Myers, and will return.
Grilled chicken tacos are the best.
