Sun Harvest Citrus is one of those rare shops where people of any age will find something to enjoy. Our family has been visiting every winter for the past 20 years. Our kids have grown up enjoying their wonderful (and reasonably priced) soft-serve ice cream. Many times, we go there just for an orange-vanilla twist, or a key lime cone. I always get distracted by the free fresh-squeezed juice samples in the back of the store. (All of the juices are good but the orange-strawberry juice is FANTASTIC.)As soon as you walk in, you'll remark on the incredible fresh citrus aroma that saturates the atmosphere. (It's the scent of SW Florida to me.) Often, you'll be able to watch the citrus cleaning machines in action behind large windows. There's always an excellent selection of in-season citrus fruits and if you're visiting from out of town, they can arrange to ship some home for you. (It's expensive, but very thoughtful.) About half the store is dedicated to SW Florida gifts, so it's a great place to pick up knick-knacks, post cards, fridge magnates, stuffed animals, candy, etc... There are a good number of shaded park benches outside to sit and enjoy your ice cream and snacks. Don’t be too intimidated by the checkout line can stretch to the back of the store. They do a good job of moving that line quickly.I know it's hard to believe, but I'd put Sun Harvest Citrus on my list of "Must-Do"s in Fort Myers, if only for the soft-serve.

The Key Lime soft serve ? ice cream is amazing! And the Key Lime pie is also good - my husband says that it “tastes like it’s made with real Key Limes” (for those of you who know the difference).Sadly, I do not recommend their “fresh” juice; we bought a couple of jugs of the Orange Cranberry - which seemed so good, until we read the label and saw that it was loaded with both sugar AND high-fructose corn syrup.WHY?! ??‍♀️I mean why would anyone do that to juice that’s already sweet? ??‍♀️Diabetics beware.

Must visit place for a plethora of Florida gifts, taste different Florida oranges (for free), buy an orange soft serve (I recommend the vanilla/orange twirl come. It tasted just like my childhood orange popsicles), buy orange-infused chocolates, cookies, sauces, and more. You can also buy different freshly squeezed juices as well as locally picked strawberries and blueberries. They have a small children’s park on the exterior and have tables inside and out.

We only come for the orange soft serve which has been a favorite for years. Otherwise the place is a bit touristy but still pretty good.

I love this store but the last time I was here I noticed that the ice cream has changed. I think the reason is that they are cheating out on us. For shame, for shame.

Nice little stop off the road. Lots of juices to choose from. You can taste any juice they have and they have samples of oranges. Ice cream was excellent.

Love this place!! Been going there for years when I used to visit and now a permanent resident and always an amazing experience!! Freshest produce that is unmatched anywhere else!! The juice is so fresh and tasty!! So many beautiful gifts to choose from and food product choices are endless!! Everyone who works there always ready with a smile and greeting. The folks who work the front counter are also polite and welcoming. I'm amazed at how fast they get the very long lines down so quickly all the while making ice cream cones and drinks!! I try to tip them when I can. Wish I could tip the whole crew. If management takes suggestions, maybe put a tip jar out for these guys? I'm a transplant from Michigan and this is was always my first stop when I used to visit and now can enjoy this pleasant place anytime I want. Amazing place and keep up the amazing job!!

A lot of reviews mention the new ownership and a corresponding decline in the ice cream, but we did not experience this. We got one cone with the orange and vanilla swirl and one cone with the strawberry and vanilla swirl. We enjoyed both very much. Strawberry was the same as we remembered from last year, and the orange seems to be consistent as well. If anything, the new ownership has improved the place with the expanded hours.

I ordered one of their shipped baskets as a gift for my wife who remembers Sun Harvest from her time living in Florida. My communications with their support team were great and we really enjoyed the products we received.

We're from up north, and we noticed this year that the soft serve orange tastes different, plus not as much orange color to it. Not as good.

I have lived in the area for 21 years, and have been very disappointed when stopping in to Sun Harvest in the past few months. The new owners have made it more into a souvenir shop, and I was extremely disappointed in their decision to change the soft serve ice cream. I have read other posts, and it seems many agree with me. The most SHOCKING thing that they are not being transparent on, is that all of the citrus fruit they are selling and shipping is from CALIFORNIA!!! I have for many years ordered fruit from Sun Harvest to ship to family and friends, but I refuse to ship fruit from Florida that came from California. I’m very much aware of the diseases and hurricanes that the farmers have dealt with along with developers buying up the groves. There are still other places to buy and ship Florida citrus, and we need to support our Florida citrus farmers.
