After seeing mixed reviews I was on high alert and wanted to see for myself. I really liked the entire experience. The hostess was very helpful getting me seated (outside) and showing me the ropes. The coffee is help yourself at a special counter. At first glance it seemed inconvenient but it actually was fun as you could try different coffees and it was unlimited refills. They even ask you after you're finished with your meal if they can get you a "go-cup" to take with. The servers were attentive and pleasant. Food came pretty quickly. I got the scrambled egg sandwich with bacon on a croissant. It came with hash browns. Both items were good and the portions more than fair. Outside dining accommodates close to 20 people with tables of 2,4 or 6. Inside is really a cool vibe and I look forward to trying dinner there some evening. Price- well, yes it's pricier(17.50 without tip) than a diner type place (which I like too) but the ambience and great menu items makes this a great place to go.

My mom took me for brunch based off a friend's recommendation. What a great experience! There was a bit of a wait, but Marge in charge hooked us up with coffee mugs to fill at the coffee bar and a comfy seat on couch while waiting. We had a great server and asked what she recommended. We had the crustless quiche and the cinnamon bread French toast. Both were amazing!!!

Awful staff. I've come here so many times & the staff is continuously so rude . The hostess has worked there for a while and she's so rude & degrading towards customers. All their staff is hit or miss; food takes forever to come out. The owner is very, very rude. I've been a long time customer but get very frustrated. Great food though.

The “not so sweet bean” Cafe! I used to go into this cute spot with my toddler after her play dates and everyone was always so nice. So I had no hesitation in choosing this restaurant when my girlfriends wanted to have a ladies brunch for my birthday. None of them had been there before and I kept raving about how cute it was and how great the food was. My mom also passed away a few weeks ago so I was feeling down, but they all convinced me to come out and spend time together. When I arrived , one of my friends was already waiting with her baby inside, and she looked frazzled. I didn’t realize that the hostess had been rude to her about saving the table for the rest of us who are only running about five or 10 minutes behind because the parking lot is so crowded and it takes time to find a spot. When my other friend arrived with her baby, The hostess didn’t even say hi-she just looked at her annoyed and asked her to take her stroller back to the car! We sat down and ordered some drinks, and then one of the babies started crying a little bit. A waitress literally came over and said “the manager is not gonna tolerate that.” Of course we had to get up and leave. We weren’t gonna let my one friend leave because her baby was crying so we had to go next door to first watch. I can’t even describe the level of unprofessionalism that everyone who worked there today had with us! getting treated like you’re a criminal because you have a sweet baby with you. And anyone who has agrees with this type of treatment is gross. I have to tell you! I was so embarrassed because that place was my idea and I had never had a bad experience there before. I hate to have to leave these type of reviews because I understand that this is someone’s livelihood, but this is unacceptable and it’s discriminatory! We never really have any opportunity to go out and eat anything and when we do this is how we get treated. I’m honestly so disgusted. I have the sweetest and kindest group of friends too and I felt terrible that they were treated like losers from the moment they walked through the door. I also had my baby with me by the way and she’s only nine months old but I think I deserve to have a nice brunch too sometimes. I didn’t realize that having a baby with you means you get treated like a criminal. literally, like it’s a crime to have a baby with you! That’s how it felt I didn’t realize all this time that there was a sign on the door basically telling people that they’re not kid friendly, but they need to put that on posterboard and make it a lot bigger because it’s easy to miss! I would have never suggested that place if I would’ve seen anything like that. Long story short… Do not go to this restaurant if you have small children with you!

We attempted to have a birthday breakfast today but were treated with scorn because we had children with us. We were never told that they don’t allow children. We didn’t see the signs on the door because someone held the door for us. After we were seated and felt uncomfortable because of the attitude of the hostess we decided to go next door to First Watch where we were treated like treasured guests. I will never step foot into Sweet Bean Cafe.

First let me say that the food was very good! However, we asked for water and was brought bottle watered. They don't provide tab water which is against the law and want to charge you for the bottle water. Secondly, the Strawberry Spinach Salad comes with grilled chicken but I was charged $6 more dollars for the chicken which was removed when I questioned it. If you order a hamburger you'll be charged .50 cents for Mayo! After the bill comes to your table the waiter stands over you and wants to check you out table side with a machine and ask for a credit card, didn't have time to review the bill so I asked for a moment to review but they snatched up the ticket and crumbled it in their hand and walked away leaving me nothing to review other than stick my credit card into the machine. I had to get up and asked for the ticket back so I can customize my tip based on the bill, I was told I would get one after I check out. I again said that I would like my ticket back so they reached into their pocket and handed me the crumbled ticket...rude. Since it had the water, mayo and chicken charged and they were bullying you to pay right then and there, I only left 12% tip and had them remove two of the unopened water and let them know they are breaking the law...of course no response! I also want to point out the hostess may be a rude individual or they were just having a bad day...first impressions is so important.

I've been here several times over the past year. Hands down best service in the area. Everyone is super accommodating and nice. Extremely competent staff. The food is always fresh. Price and portions are a steal. Can't wait to be back. Ask for Summer, she is the best.

Cozy atmosphere…. Got eyerolled by a down looking arrogant barista. No non diary hot drinks here … cold almond milk is all they serve apparently! Safe yourself a trip - not worth it! After reading other reviews the attitude of owner/employees needs some obvious adjustment!
