The table had a view of the courtyard. The dinner was really great. We ordered Chateaubriand for two. The meat melted in your mouth and the vegetables with it were unbelievable. Dessert was pecan pie with ice cream . Great dinner followed by great dessert.Parking: We used valet

Met friends from out of town that are new to the area and wants to show them one of the really nice places in Fr Myers to have a couple drinks at the piano bar, and enjoy a really nice dinner in an outstanding setting, ambiance, the provides great service and menu.

Seabass was amazing. the filet was overcooked a bit, but the quality made up for that still delicious. The only thing that was off was we paid extra for the tableside ceasar salad, and it wasn't made tableside just brought out on plates. Beautiful courtyard seating.

Professional waitstaff. Some have been there for over 20 years. The rooms are small, so sounds are trapped and don't resonate to other rooms. The history of the site adds to the ambiance!Had several items made tableside. Cesar salad, Chateaubriand and bananas foster. The experience us well worth the cost!!

My wife and I eat here every couple of months and it is always fantastic. Our waiter Mike never disappoints and does the best job with the Caesar salad. The drinks are always good and they have a great wine selection. We dined in the bar are this time and it was great to see how hard the bartenders work to keep thing flowing. In my opinion The Veranda is the best restaurant in SW Florida.

Disappointed

We dined outside on a beautiful night. Food was outstanding, service outstanding- Veranda never disappoints whether it's a special occasion or an ordinary night. Reservations a must in season. You won't be disappointed!

My wife and I chose The Veranda in Fort Myers to celebrate our special 12th Anniversary, which also marked our 3rd leap year anniversary, making it uniquely significant for us. We made our reservations well in advance, explicitly requesting outdoor seating to make the most of the beautiful evening and the occasion. To start the evening on a high note, we arrived a bit early to enjoy a drink, anticipating a memorable celebration.Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations in several key areas. Despite the significance of the occasion mentioned at the time of booking, there was no acknowledgment from the staff throughout our visit. This oversight was disappointing and detracted from the personal touch we hoped for in choosing a high-end establishment for such a milestone.More significantly, our specific request for outdoor seating was not honored. After a wait, we were taken aback to find ourselves seated indoors. Upon inquiring, we were informed rather abruptly that a private party had taken precedence over our reservation. This was particularly frustrating as we were not notified of this change upon arrival, which would have allowed us to make an informed decision about our plans for the evening. For a restaurant of The Veranda's caliber, we expected a higher standard of guest service and communication. The situation could have been handled with more empathy and professionalism, acknowledging the importance of our celebration, and offering a suitable alternative to mitigate the inconvenience. In conclusion, while the ambiance and setting of The Veranda promise a premium dining experience, our anniversary celebration was overshadowed by oversights in service and communication. It is my hope that this review encourages management at The Veranda to improve their reservation management and customer service, ensuring no other guests experience such disappointments on their special occasions.Super disappointing leaving a mark on the chin of what should have been a nice evening. Make your memories and reservations elsewhere.

What an awesome dining experience! Ramsay, our server was beyond kind, knowledgeable, and quite warm and friendly. His suggestion of the Chef Special was great. The Filets were perfectly cooked and totally delectable with the sauce and crab meat. The tuna app was delicious as well. Thank you

Our dining experience was outstanding! My wife had the filet mignon and I had the catch special which was pecan encrusted yellowtail. Both were absolutely great! We stayed around to enjoy the piano playing entertainment. Veranda is a special treat. I highly recommend Veranda as one of the finest restaurants in SW Florida!

I had my birthday dinner last night with friends. My friends dinner was wonderful but my dinner which was Lamb chops were cold and undercooked. I told the waitress and she brought out another dinner with in minutes and it was all bloody. First time I had a bad meal here in years. A manager should have of been involved. I was disappointing.

Last evening my husband and I went to Veranda for my birthday dinner. It was fabulous, our waitress Victoria was very attentive while giving us privacy, the food was cooked to perfection the atmosphere in the courtyard was romantic and beautiful, the tables were a comfortable distance apart. All this with valet parking! If you visit the river district you know parking is horrendous so this was the cherry on top!! What a wonderful experience from when you first enter to saying goodbye… we have found “our” place and plan on many more dinners there! Thank you for making my birthday memorable!

New chef? Food in the past were always outstanding. Two out of four were less so. Oversalted and overcooked snapper and scallops that were gritty. A bit of a disappointment for our traveling guests. Mentioned it to the waitress..nit much response. Will still return as every other time the whole experience was delightful.

Our first visit...special anniversary..we made reservations for the outside..were informed upon arrival that we could not eat outside due to a function there....bad form...we should have either been informed prior, or denied outside reservation..the good news..we loved the inside window table they gave us..still, felt a little put off....fresh rose on the table a really nice touch..the waiter (all of them in tuxedos) was efficient and attentive..still, it lacked something personal..we felt like just another table...while prices seem appropriate for a nice restaurant, the salads (which came with the entree) were clearly preprepared....but very good.....small touch, but something that struck me, again, for a very nice restaurant, I asked for sugar with my coffee and was brought a small container with only non-sugar packets....kind of reminded me of just about any old restaurant...I did ask for and receive regular packets....creme brulee was great...bottom line, we had a nice evening..yes, we would return...but with appropriate expectations...most personal part of the evening..the valet guy...he was great!

We told our server we had one hour to dine in order to make our show. Don made it happen and even left time for coffee. Rack of lamb and Chilean sea bass were perfect and the house wine was drinkable. Thanks Don and Veranda! I had made a reservation for outside but noticed an event was underway there. We should have been notified but we're seated in a lovely private space instead. Nevertheless...
