Beware of the owner of this establishment...he will call the sheriff on you if you say something he doesn't agree with. I stopped there for a quick lunch today and commented to the waitress about the fowl and obscene message on his sign out front. Seconds later he appeared at my table berating me for my comment to the waitress. He threatened me and asked me to leave. He then called the sheriff to have me removed.
When they arrived, they were very polite and courteous. I left immediately followed by a barrage of insults from rick reed the co-owner. His partner came over claiming he was a doctor (in reality he was a chiropractor) and tried to smooth things over.
When the sheriff arrived they escorted me outside with the owner following us with a raft of insults and threats.
There are plenty of good restaurants in this town where you can enjoy a meal and not be harassed or threatened. Sweeties is not one of them.

It's such a cute diner! We stopped by on a whim and so happy we did! We were initially "not hungry" but our burgers and fries were too delicious to pass up and ate all of it. Amy was also great about getting our order, being friendly, and kept the refills coming out having to ask. While we were there, there were also some little kids that looked to be part of the "staff" which was adorable to see. It just seems like the type of place that provides a safe and supportive place for employees while delivering great customer service and food. Highly recommend giving them a chance!

Small old themed diner with a limited menu but there is enough for most..prices reasonable decent service and you can't ask for anything more. I like the BLT always crispy bacon and fresh red to tomatoes. Sundays look for the stuffed pepper soup which is a classic.

Amazing spot. We got there late, and were there only the one time...so my opinions are a bit thin on sample size. Late enough one guy was basically hosting the whole house. ALSO, I ordered a 'bucket of chicken and waffles' which takes 20 minutes. Time well spent. Though the wafflecame out first (only 1) and had time to imbibe moisture and lose a bit of crispness. If you don't know, they all do this.The chicken was great. I don't tend to eat skin much, so I can't report on coatings, etc. BTW, didn't need dinner. I think it was the left side of that bird.
Everything is good and very affordable. It's my favorite casual breakfast spot to go.Best Belgium waffle! Must try!
