Such an amazing experience. Chef David and Perry make the place outstanding! You’re served early 1900 plates and silverware and surrounded by beautiful paintings. They have so much experience in fine dining and history around the states. You have to be there!! This is the place on the whole panhandle side to go to and I’m not the type to over exaggerate. Come here if you want to impress your family or friends. This is the place?

This is not the first time that I have been to Flambe after Dark but it was the first time I have been since David changed to a prix fixe menu. I wasn't sure how I felt about the new menu, as I like selection and loved so many of the items that he had on his menu previously. BUT his new menu did not disappoint, the food was spectacular and was impeccably curated. If you want to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy an incredibly great meal, this is the place to be.

Amazing hidden gem on Racetrack Rd. Run by a chef who loves his craft. The dining concept is a predetermined 5 course meal (some substitutions available) with choice of flambé desserts afterwards. Great little place with a warm and romantic atmosphere. The best duck I’ve ever had.

Surprised when walked in because outside looks kinda shabby. But the presentation of the food at the table by the chef, and the cooking at the table....just very impressive and absolutely delicious. Wonderful evening.

This was our third (fourth?) dinner here. It is hard to say which we liked best. The menu is reduced now, but there are still great choices. Tonight we stayed with the seafood theme and thoroughly enjoyed every course. Each course was delicate and flavorful and it got richer as it went on. The scallops au gratin were out of this world! I asked the chef, "Au gratin?" and he went on to explain that . . . well, you have to experience his knowledge of French-to-American (and more) cuisine. Our main course was what some would consider a traditional Lobster Newburg, and while Chef David claimed it to be so (from a 1910 recipe), I swear it was the lightest and tastiest I've ever had. The sauce was delicious without overpowering the lobster. So many Newburg recipes are all about the sauce and the meat is only there to carry the sauce. Not so here. The sauce enhanced the lobster and vice-versa -- as it should be.We chose for desert, the Cherries After Dark (his version of Cherries Jubilee). I thought I had had this dish before, but David T. brought it to a whole new level with his excitement and descriptions of 5 different cherries (also flambé) with brandy and soaked in rum, IIRC. Vanilla and chocolate and cherries . . . I'm rambling. On to the ambience. From the outside, it looks like a nothing kind of place -- you might not even know there's a restaurant there. But, it is bigger on the inside! While you are sitting in a small restaurant with only 5 or 6 tables in the main room, the paintings make you feel that you are sitting in a place on a beach or island with windows facing the sea on all sides. The effect is better than using mirrors to make a room bigger. The music is soft and somewhat jazzy with familiar tunes performed by different performers than those who made the tunes famous. Furthermore, David's stories of art and cuisine add to the ambience. We learn something new every time we go there.Very romantic setting for an intimate meal, while still being able to converse with the Chef or other guests. Sorry (not sorry) for the long review, but it deserves a full article in a paper or magazine (I believe there is one or more) rather than on a simple review site.

David was a fantastic chef for our dinner. The food here is above and beyond the best food food in northwest Florida, and probably the best meal I’ve ever eaten (and I spent 4 years in Los Angeles). I cannot wait to come back to Flambé After Dark. From making the reservation through dessert and afterwards, David ensured we had an absolutely incredible experience. I cannot recommend this place enough and I have told everyone about it. I’m pretty sure some of my friends have already made reservations. This is the Max Verstappen of restaurants.

Chef David does a wonderful job preparing the different dishes. We were a party of six, celebrating an anniversary and it was quite an amazing experience!! The six course dinner prepared table side was very tasteful! You can tell that Chef David has a passion for cooking. Highly recommend you try his restaurant.

Talk about a hidden gem! A pedestrian exterior hides a beautiful, cozy dining room decorated with original art. David is an outstanding chef, serving up gourmet multi-course meals perfect for special occasions. I have eaten there several times, and am never disappointed with the delicious food.
