The staff is amazing, the pours are hearty, & the atmosphere makes every single guest feel like they are a local. Having been born in FWB many moons ago, that feel is one-in-a-million! Their brunch is AMAZING!!!
Our waiter HAD to have been new, but even that wouldn't justify how bad he is.US: What's your fish of the day?HIM: We don't have fish of the day.US: The menu says the fish sandwich has the fish of the day?HIM: I'll have to ask the kitchen. After 10 minutes, US: Did we ever find out the fish of the day?HIM: Oh, I forgot.Ordered a sparkling wine, got rose.US: This isn't what we ordered.HIM: But, do you like it?US: We also ordered Buffalo wings, and you brought us lemon pepper.HIM: But, do you like it?Will never go back.

Got there at 530. Didn't get greeted until almost 6. Ordered a flat Bread, the server forgot. Would be more understanding if it was busy at all but there was only 2 other tables with people. Also, did not get happy hour discount.

The location is great, the chicken crepes were incredible, shrimp tacos were good. The cheese board was not good - the grapes were almost past due, the bread was just a few slices of untoasted white bread, and the cheese looked like it had been cut from store bought cheddar blocks. The prices were great, but I had expected better given reviews and location. Our server was possibly on their first night solo, which is totally understandable, but they had to come back and ask four times what wine we wanted - the beaujolais - and wouldn't just write it down or take the menu with them to remember. They had to do the same for our food order (3 appetizers). When the wine was brought out, the bottle was warm (everywhere else I've had beaujolais serves it chilled) and the server didn't even pour the wine into our glasses. Overall ok, but would not recommend.

Taste used to be the pinnacle of Fort Walton brunch. Now its just sad. Always out of half of the menu. Prices are still high for far lower quality. Staff is good and most are nice, but the quality of food and the availability of the food seems to be lacking.

I always enjoy Taste. When we go on Friday nights there's usually a great live bass player.
Staff was very attentive and made sure we felt welcome. Food and cocktails were outstanding. Great little spot for a date night. Definitely try the sweet potato truffle fries!
Being in my home town this was a nice spot to get mimosas and something to snack on with the girls! I got 2x bruschetta and the bottle mimosas w/ orange juice.

The wine is great, the food is awesome, but the real reason to go is Thomas. He’s awesome. Handled a lot of tables alone and still managed to make my visit special. I’ll be back here, if only to visit that dude!
