Five stars as far as dive bars go. And I mean that as a compliment. Spent many nights wrecked in there, but it was upstairs when I went to school there (1990). Just have the right expectations before you go there, and you won't be disappointed. Cheap beer, raucous nights, and a little dirty.
When I go in here I usually just skulk over to the edge of the room and hang out by myself. If you wanna do the same, then just follow these shorthand instructions for where you should go, and what to do when you get inside: Balls, To The Wall. In the heart of Gainesville Florida you'll find a whole collection of wild college party bars and most of them are within walking distance of each other - in fact within three blocks of each other - and Balls is one of the better ones....read full review
