The waiter took my spoon and plate while I was eating my snack to rectify their mistakes and while bringing back forgot to bring back my spoon. I had to wait for few more minutes to get the spoon back. I asked for salt and Chilli ? flakes but there were only salt and pepper. Salt was uneven in chicken 65 and was not blended properly. Bhalla was missing from bhalla papri.

The food was mediocre Indian food and it cost $40 for a regular size lamb curry and regular size butter chicken. I ordered over the phone so I didn't even know the price until I arrived, if I had known I wouldn't have ordered it. I know Indian food is expensive but if it's $40 I would've expected a bigger portion size at least. Tikka express has better prices and quality of food than this place. Update: I went again and order the chicken pakoda and butter chicken to share. The chicken pakoda was pretty ok, I liked the sauces that came with it. I liked the butter chicken a lot and that it came with rice, naan, and a desert. Our waiter was very nice and explained the different menu options to us. Again, I think it could've been a bigger portion size for the price but I still enjoyed the food.

The atmosphere is perfect, right next to an amazing Indian store, with excellent music at the right volume. We shared the vegetable samosas and chicken tikka masala, they were delicious! The staff was knowledgeable and pleasant. They kept our waters full and offered endless smiles!

I wanted to like this place since it was highly recommended but so many things went wrong it was hard to. First, they took our orders and brought the naan out way before the actual food so by the time the food got there it was cold. Second it was like $15 for a serving of butter chicken and there were only four small pieces of chicken. Third, I ordered the gulab jamun which never came and they still wanted to charge me for it until I corrected them. I'm not sure I'd come here again after this. Will look for another Indian food place. The curry was good though.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Gainesville. I'm so glad I tried this place-- so many unique meals here that have me wanting to return to try MORE! I got the Malabar Lamb Curry which was so rich and flavorful; it came with rice, bread, papas, pickle & dessert. I will say, I wish the rice portion was a little larger to match the ratio of the curry. The pickle (tart & slightly bitter) and tamarind-like dessert weren't for me but I can appreciate the variety and chance to try. It was pretty busy when we went but service was quick & speedy! Great place to bring family and friends.

Excellent Paneer Palek Dosa! Spiced really well and service quick. Also tasted the Szechuan Noodles. Spiced appropriately and also very flavorful!

There are so many vegan options and options that can easily be made vegan with simple substitutes. We ordered the Manchurian Gobi and it was literally the best meal I’ve ever had at any restaurant ever. Highly recommended!

Food here is always excellent! Service is so so. But I don't go for the service. I always enjoy trying something new from the menu and I after the third visit I have never been disappointed. Last time we went I had the lentil donuts and the Bhel Puri. Both were excellent!

Mannn this place has horrible service. Small naans too. It's so sad it's the only (kind of) decent Indian place in Gainesville.

My favorite restaurant in all of Gainesville. I have been to this restaurant more times than I can count, and I have tried many different things from the menu. Treat yourself. Order yourself a lassi, a samosa chaat, a masala dosa.... and come back again, and again, and again. The service is quick and pleasant, and the restaurant's atmosphere weirdly feels like a home away from home. There's always people in Indian Street Food, so you know it must be good. You give it a try, and I'll be going on my 20th time here. :)

Unfortunately, today I was disappointed; the stew sauce was too sweet and the same sauce was used for two completely different dishes. Also, my whole family has upset stomach. Too expensive for the quality!
