I like going here it is better than the many many many chinese restaurants in town. Like their decor all the food tastes the same. Just MEH. But at Koto's the restaurant is small but it's cute and has personality the food is good and you can have a variety mix and match. So you're not just stuck with the same food every time. You can have a whole night out just walking down the sidewalk in Butler plaza you got dinner dessert. And with some of the people that run up and down in the parking lot racing their motorcycles and cars you got to show. What more do you need.

We ordered our food To Go. I had the 2 roll lunch special. It was the California Roll and Spicy Crab Roll. They were soo good! So fresh! The California Roll has nice big pieces of avocado and crab. The Spicy Roll was the perfect amount of spiciness. I really appreciate that they were bite size and did not have a ton of rice on them. It came with a salad with homemade ginger dressing that was delicious. I went back three times this week to get the same thing. My new favorite lunch when I'm in Gainesville.

I get the vegetable fried rice and my daughter gets the vegetable Japanese noodles and we both love it. Food is tasty, prepared exactly as we requested, the restaurant is clean and it's made quickly.Vegetarian options: Veggie fried rice and noodle options.

Went here for dinner because we had a long day of errands and wanted to treat ourselves to something nice. We went away from it feeling pretty unsatisfied. The food had signs of being heated from frozen rather than cooked fresh. The vegetables in particular were touch and go on warmth; I wouldn't be surprised if our food was microwaved. It also did not help that the inside of the restaurant does not have much for sound dampening, so we were bombarded by both the activity and the music. I would probably not come back.

Friendly staff who give warm smiles. I ordered the takoyaki and the peppered tuna tataki. I will definitely be ordering again! I have a hard time finding good takoyaki and they nailed it. Crispy outside, soft and flavorful inside. Smoky bonito flakes and sauces rounded it out. One order is definitely not enough. The tataki was cool, spicy, and melts in your mouth. Delicious!
The shrimp hibachi lunch was full of flavor and had tons of flavor. The shrimp was delicious and they didn't skimp on it as you can see. I like that it comes with sauce and a little salad with ginger dressing. I could eat here every day!?

This is a self serve type restaurant they do not have silverware. Everything is plasticware and get everything yourself. The tables were sticky and had food on them and when I asked to have something to wash it off, I was giving a towel that was just lying around, but they had been washing off other things with that was dirty. When I asked, they basically didn’t care. Food was ok.. for two people to have hibachi chicken, two drinks and crab Rangoon it was over $50

Ordered take out, chicken and shrimp hibachi and dragon roll. Dragon roll is fine but Chicken is rubbery, call back and advise he should let the chef know, Person who answered the phone just said sorry. Sounds like he doesn’t know how to handle food quality issue. I’m not asking for credit or nothing since I’m from out of town.
