Luke's is hands down the best NYC bagels you'll find in the central Florida area. They taste like authentic NY bagels and cream cheese. I frequent this place regularly for breakfast. You have to try one of their breakfast sandwiches, too!! SO good.

We have been going to Luke’s since literally day one. I have never been unimpressed with the quality of their food or the service. Best bagel in Gainesville, and beyond, no contest!

High quality, extra large bagels. Seriously, most of their bagels are twice the size of what you would get at the grocery store, which helps to justify the price tag. The wait can take a while, but you can largely avoid it by ordering ahead during the week. Highly recommend going to the trailer to save time as well. Overall, a big fan and will continue to support!

I've been to Luke's Bagels a number of times and the food quality is pretty consistent. The bagels are good but expensive for what you get. What's not consistent and is quite frankly unacceptable is the service I received on this visit. I ordered a salmon lox sandwich and an additional plain bagel. I waited over 30 minutes for it during UF's spring break—there was no line and only a few called in orders ahead of us. Eventually, the rest of my party received their breakfast sandwiches from the separate trailer. They cooked the eggs, bacon, and assembled two of those egg bacon cheese bagels before my order, which didn't require cooking and was put in first. Finally, I just went up to the order counter to ask about my order. Apparently, it was ready the whole time but nobody called my name for it. I was standing right by where they give out orders, and watched them walk out, call out names for orders, and hand them to people in front of me. But nobody in the building checked on an order that had been waiting there for an inordinately long period of time on their counter.I get that mistakes happen, and I've worked in food service so I'm generally understanding. But there was no apology or anything offered. Just "it was sitting at the counter where orders go out and I don't know why." Also, they tried to initially blame me by saying "the name might've gotten called out and nobody answered,” when I waited directly outside the door where they send out orders and would have heard it.Essentially, I paid over $20 for just two bagels and waited 30+ minutes to receive them. I also watched 5+ orders that were placed after mine get sent out properly. And this counter service person tried to blame me for this and then when that failed, didn't apologize or anything.I've long been annoyed at the extreme wait times at Luke's, especially because there is no form of seating or shade from the sun. But I won't be coming back after this. It's not worth it when there are several other bagel places in Gainesville that are almost as good, cheaper, can manage their orders, and provide decent customer service.Kid-friendliness: Expect to stand and wait with no established seating nor shade for 20+ minutes. Not kid friendly.

I ordered a blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese and it was definitely below standards. Bagel didn’t taste much like anything at all and was extremely blue, wondering if it was dyed or something. Strawberry cream cheese was hot pink and tasted yet again, like regular cream cheese. For a 7 dollar bagel, I would’ve expected more. Also the vanilla iced coffee was watery and meh. Wait wasn’t bad but I went at noon so mileage may vary. Finally, there’s a bagel on their menu that costs $20! It better be plated in gold and encrusted with diamonds for $20. Call me a consumer but Einstein clears this place easy.

Far from New York style. The bagel isn’t toasted at all and it’s overloaded with cream cheese on both sides. It’s a cream cheese sandwich if anything. Second time here and even asked for extra toasted with cream cheese on side. Still not toasted well at all. The sandwiches are okay and worth the money but definitely not the breakfast bagels. The wait time is terrible. Almost 30 minutes or longer for an un toasted bagel is ridiculous. Each time I visited it took forever with barely anyone there. Then for the employees to touch everything with their gloves on is just unappetizing. Won’t be back or recommending.

Took a LONG wait even when there were only few people there. Bagel sandwiches were overpriced since they make you pay for the sandwich and the bagel ($12ish for one bagel sandwich).I probably will not be coming back.

Good bagels, don’t order a breakfast sandwich unless you wanna stand in the sun for 40 minutes

The bagels at this place are truly amazing. The bread is consistently super fresh, and the toppings are both generous and delicious, creating a very satisfying meal. However, it's worth noting that the lack of seating might be inconvenient for those looking to dine in, and the limited parking space could pose a

Delicious. My husband gets the breakfast bagel and I got all out with smoked salmon and cream cheese all the way! It's huge! We do not go on weekends as it's busy and kudos, we call our order in on a weekday, pick it up and voila. Yes the prices are $$, but you get what you pay for and a really lovely treat. Just go for it and I'm not a bagel girl but damn!

Drove 20 minutes out to this place , waited in line for 20 minutes and then they gave me the completely wrong order when the cashier and I were very clear on what it was because she asked me about 3 times to make sure. Got home and my food was the opposite of what I ordered, 40 mins and 15 dollars down the drain for no reason.

Please, please, please don’t close down! I loved the bagels. I can’t say enough of the texture, freshness and flavors of the bagels. OMG, the onion chive cream cheese is absolutely delicious and my all time favorite! If you have not tried this place, run!
