Maui is CLOSED, the sign has been removed and it is empty. It would be great if someone would update their website.

I will not dine at this restaurant again. The food is not good and way overpriced. I ordered teriyaki beef powerbowl ($13) and the small container was half full, enough for a 5 year old to snack on. Also, ordered teriyaki beef only ($12) and we received 10 small pieces in a tiny container we thought it was the sauce container. This place is a joke from food taste to prices; stay away.

Their old location is open again as well. I'm so glad Gainesville can continue to enjoy this delicious food! They even have boba now!

Showed up to this location and there was nothing, like this place had just vanished into thin air. We were devastated. But then on Wednesday evening we were driving on Tower Road and saw signs for “Now Open Maui Teriyaki and Sushi”. Could it be the same place? We were hesitant but decided to try … IT WAS THE SAME! They are open - just moved to a different location and now added Sushi to their menu.

Ok Nice

It's with a heavy heart that I remember the time I had there. The crispy chicken bowl was the best, the burger was good although the fries were bad, but they'll never be another place in Gainesville that was as good and as cheap as Maui.

It was fire 25 years ago! They had hilarious commercials too!!! Wonder if they still do free refills on white Rice once you finish the bowls?

The crispy teriyaki chicken go hard. If you like spicy food, most definitely add their spicy sauce too

Food is really good and you get enough food for 2 people to eat!

Fantastic teriyaki. Hands down. No argument. Their egg rolls and dumplings are hot fire awesome too!Can you taste the quality of this teriyaki? Why yes. Yes you can. The chicken is moist and tender. The sauce is rich and thick. The veggies aren't over or under cooked. It is FRESH.Just go. Get some. Eat it. Enjoy it. Live it. You will have no regrets. And for $10 for a large chicken teriyaki? What do you have to lose? Nothing my friend, nothing.

I had no idea that Maui Grill was there until we actually saw it. I'm so glad we stopped in. Amazing and fresh food. The prices were excellent. I can't say enough good things about it.

Absolutely wonderful service and food! So happy to see Maui Teriyaki (The original) back in action! We have loved MT for well over 18 years. We originally fell in love with MT at the old Ocala location. We made a special trip from Morriston to share this gem with our daughter. We shared our story with the owners and they gifted us a sushi roll and it didn't disappoint! The sushi was great but the original Chicken Teriyaki bowl is the best ever, in my opinion! Give this wonderful couple/restaurant a chance you will be hook'd!!! You will feel right at home with their wonderful customer service.

The chicken rice bowl is what I usually get it always is super fast and always quality

Decent chicken for the price. Crispy chicken needs work (not crispy at all) and vegetables don't have much flavor. Normal chicken tastes fine, though

I used to eat there years ago when I attended UF. Had a chance to eat there again a couple weeks ago and it was just as good as I remembered. The owner was super nice and I’ll be back again.
