My family and I took a trip to Gainesville and decided to get dinner here. It was wonderful. We got filet and Lobster tail. My husband got the aged NY Strip. Sides were mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, creamed spinach. Everything was amazing. Our server Jess was attentive and very kind. I recommend the corn as well. We will certainly be back. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you for the amazing food and memories made.

The food was mediocre for the price. The ahi tuna, calamari, and blackened redfish lacked flavor. The slices of the tuna were so thin, and the calamari appetizer was half deep bell fried peppers. Other folks in my group ordered the steak and were happy with their meals. The host was not the friendliest and did not provide further guidance when I informed her that it was my group's first time at the restaurant and that we did not know where to wait for our table. I had to prompt the host to explain where the waiting areas were. The restaurant is a lot smaller than I expected and a bit cramped, so the waiting area is not obvious. Our server was excellent and the decor is nice, but I will most likely not return.

Somehow they think a 25$ for a sharing charge, and not telling you is appropriate, even though a plate of oysters, and an entree was ordered. Found out the next day as when we totaling the tabs to divvy out, because our party of 12 was only eligible for 1 check I guess?Only thing worth eating on the table was the oysters, unless you wanted the steak that was like eating a piece of charcoal.2nd and last time I will ever step foot in there.

Everything about the food was incredible! We definitely recommend dining here. The only negative we experienced was feeling rushed by our waiter to leave. We had just received our dessert and still had half a bottle of wine when our waiter brought us the check. Then he came by twice to ask if we put our card down. Obviously we are not interrupting our meal to pay when we're clearly not finished. That was a less than ideal ending to what was otherwise an amazing dinner.

The tenderloin tips and smoked pork belly appetizers were delicious! The soup of the day was lobster bisque and it was made to perfection. The shrimp fra' diablo was also very yummy! The lemon cake was a sizable portion and quite delicious. There is a smaller, more private room with only 6 tables for intimate conversation, but other seating options in more open spaces are available for those who enjoy a more vibrant experience. Ambiance of the restaurant is modern, but still warm. Server was very friendly and attentive. Enjoyed the experience tremendously. I will definitely go back.

The steak was decent but not worth the money and not cooked as requested. I ordered the steak medium, and it came out without even a dash of pink extremely tough for a ribeye, which is supposed to be juicy and easy to cut. The Service was even worse: beyond rushed. We asked the waiter numerous times to please slow down the service, our reservation was at 5 PM and we were in our car driving home at 5:50 PM. Extremely fast for a fine dining situation despite us asking multiple times for him to slow down the service and not put the food in right immediately. Our appetizers were delivered 10 minutes before our first cocktail, once this happened, we asked the waiter to please not put the rest of our order in, as we would like to enjoy our bottle of wine and slow things down a little bit, but he ignored the request, and our main entrée was on the table before I could even drink half a glass of wine. It really seemed that the waiter just wanted us out as soon as possible so I will not be ever returning . The restaurant is priced as a higher end, but it's really equivalent food wise to an outback, or a longhorn. The waiter was in a rush, and made us feel, rushed and made this experience completely unenjoyable. I do not recommend this to friends.

Tried to make a reservation and was refused service because we had too many people. (8) You would think that a place with $50 plus plates would want as many people as they could at one time. Called up there and was pretty much told sorry bout your luck. Ridiculous.

Quiet, romantic places to dine, serving good food are difficult to find. Prime and Pearl was not stuffy or dated. We enjoyed two of their fish dishes and a couple of sides. Hands down the best Brussels we have ever eaten. We ate every one from the generous portion. I preferred the mashed potatoes but au gratin potatoes were good. Molly and Katie were sweet and interactive. Run to this restaurant with your special one(s).Parking: Parking was nearby but this is in a shopping center with no parking right outside their door.

Mediocre food, nothing special or exciting on the many , the $11 Ceasar salad was 3 wilted leaves , glob ( not mixed ) of dressing and 3 crouton .

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Prime & Pearl in Gainesville this evening. It was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Pauly was a wonderful serve He was friendly (without being creepy about it) and was very attentive. The filet (medium rare) was the most incredible piece of beef I've ever had. My husband had the grilled Norwegian salmon and was equally pleased. The coconut cream pie was so much more than your usual coconut cream pie. Before dinner I ordered a bacon/maple old fashioned and it was perfect. We weren't rushed to finish, pay up, and get out. I will likely dine here every time I'm in Gainesville. And, I hope Pauly is our server
