I was having a good time with friends and about to leave when a drunk security person decided to tell us off for drinking water out of a water bottle. When I asked them why they allowed me to bring the water bottle in the first place and didn't take it at the gate (as other bars do) if they have a problem with it, said security person got mad and told me he's great at "remembering faces" and won't let us come again. Honestly this felt quite racist because I swear I so plenty other people drinking their own water, and I was treated like a criminal for doing that.

Super small club. It was cool seeing a drag show for the first time. The space is really tight though. I wouldn't go again but good for a first time experience.

I love the concept of UC as a gay bar and the top floor is fantastic. The bartenders are great. However in the bottom floor the music is jarring and just generally bad. I appreciate a departure from other gay bars but the mixing by the DJ can only be described as chaotic and cacophony. So much room for improvement. The music feels worse than the music you would hear at a straight bar. Even arcade bar around the corner has gayer music than this.it's unfortunately appalling. A change of DJ or at least whatever playlist he's hitting play on would be very much beneficial for this bar.Edit: the new dj is much better. That really brought the vibes up

Best club I've been to!!! It's open to 18+ and 21+ so it's great for any college student. The music is good and the dj takes suggestions. Plus, like any gay club the drinks are amazing! Lighting and music makes it the perfect club for a dance party

UC management supports racism against black people. A little white girl literally walks by me and tells me move n word your standing too close to me, in a packed full capacity dance club. She then runs and tells the security she was scared and they wanna kick me out. If your black this will happen to you here and they literally dont care or even offer to hear my side of the story. They tried to tell me she didnt call me the n word.

I do really enjoy this place & wish I could give it a higher rating. But sadly there are many reasons as of why I can't. The service is chopping some nights due to two or fewer people working the bar. The front entry is blocked off and you're told to walk around the back to get into the bar. And the other all lack of security on duty some nights, makes it feel very unsafe. Plus the club is always too warm (unless you're upstairs). Otherwise the few good things are the shows, the friendly nature of some of the workers and guests.
They need to staff the bar better. On Sunday nights it is impossible to get served. There's one guy who is scrambling to serve everyone, which makes him cranky and upset, and makes me not want to order anything. Kind of counter intuitive for a bar. I have often waited for 10 minutes or even 20 before giving up.

I am so startled! Me and my girls were waiting in line to go into the UC when we heard the bouncer call a boy in front of us the f-slur! We were so shocked!!! The poor guy started bawling it was so sad he didn't deserve it. The bouncer was literally slandering him for being LGBTQIA+ which surprised us because we thought it was a gay bar and safe space but clearly we were WRONG! Please avoid this place like the PLAGUE the owner is a secret homophobe!
