The ridiculously lengthy wait was not justified by the quality of the cuisine. This restaurant was FILTHY in addition to having no designated employee to greet patrons, handle orders, or deliver takeout. There was an overflowing garbage can in the lobby that hadn't been emptied, and there were trash fragments all over the floor. This place doesn't prioritize cleanliness or take itself seriously enough to have such FILTH on open display for consumers. I can only think that they would get a very low (or failing) mark if a health inspection were conducted here. Because the owners of A&E Caribbean Cafe are obviously salopes and don't care about hygiene or basic sanitation, I would not suggest it to anyone.

I ordered griot with brown rice yesterday and ended up in the hospital diagnosed with food poisoning — I’m normally a regular customer here hence I was kind of disappointed however I have noticed that their business has fallen. I stopped coming here for a couple of months due to me slowing down on meat and when I did come back yesterday I automatically was looked at with a rude expression, on top of them not caring whether you order food there or not. I will not be returning back here, and I suggest if your a customer to be careful!

First i am haitian and the food and the service is not good. they make you feel like they don't care if u speed $ there or not. They don't advertise there ingredients for people with allergies. Almost went to the hospital for my shrimp allergies. The owner only told me that it my fault and to move on. Will not be buying here

The food here is extremely good, always comes hot and fresh, a lot of food and very filling. I’ve always order the girot with mushroom rice it comes with fried tostones (plaintains) and pikliz with a sauce to pour over your food. The service is good once you talk with them and they open up, the price is fair, because you get enough food to fill you up and can eat off it a few times before it’s gone. The atmosphere is normal and not a long wait. I’ve tried different Haitian restaurants and this one is my favorite thus far. I’ll be more than happy to give them my money for food. Next time I really might try the fried fish and turkey heard that’s good too. Try it you won’t be disappointed and might get addicted like myself to the point I need to learn how to make Haitian food.Kid-friendliness: My kids have been inside and it’s safe.Parking: The parking is open as it’s inside a plaza with different variety of food like Dunkin’ Donuts and Papa John’s

I was craving Haitian food and I was super hungry after my workout. They let me eat one of the pate kode before paying while I was waiting for my main meal and I have to say that was much appreciated. Sweet folks over at the restaurant

The service was great such nice folks but very disappointed with the food. Bland and seemed a bit stale. It’s overpriced i got griot and legume. When this place opened in 2012-2013 it was better than Albertes but now during the day they have chairs on the table while operating. The owner doesn’t care anymore.

I usually don't leave reviews but I could not let this one slide. The only reason I gave 1 star was because 0 was not an option. When I walked in, the first thing that rubbed me the wrong way was I spoke, said hello but was not greeted in return. The 2 ladies that were at the front were not friendly or inviting. I started not to even order but I was very hungry and the place I really wanted to go to was closed so I said, why not? I ordered the mixed veggies and waited for my food to be ready. The wait wasn't long which was the ONLY positive thing. I thanked the lady and left with my order. I opened my food in the car and noticed in the mixed veggies was a huge chunk of beef with shreds of beef throughout. I don't eat meat hence the mixed veggies. So I went back inside and asked if beef typically came with the mixed veggies. She replied, rudely, yeah. I then told her that I don't eat meat and asked if I could get it without. She then proceeded to give me a spoon and said TAKE IT! I was shocked more than anything considering I had been nothing but polite. The customer service is autrocious and I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE to spend their hard earned cash unless you like to be treated with disrespect.
