I had been craving fish & chips so went to the Proper Pie but the food was awful. Soggy batter on the fish & chips that tasted stale. So very disappointed. The girl who served me however, was lovely! To be honest, the fish & chips at Culver’s is much better.

We had a great Fish n Chips lunch here today. We split a large piece of Cod with fries, both absolutely delicious and plenty for two of us. We also bought fresh scones to bring home. On special days they also have Haddock. Plenty of British goodies and frozen foods here as well.

This is a quaint little spot in or near Haines City. We order a couple little desserts and some imported British products. Frankly, I am not impressed and in-fact I was very disappointed. Furthermore, everything I ordered was quite expensive. This was a miss for me and I am not returning. BTW, the gentleman at the tiil was friendly, patient and accommodating. Hence my rating.

I may have visited on a bad day. Based on the other reviews my experience is not typical. However. The food was awful. The chips were just ok. The cod over cooked in a horrible batter. The scotch egg was dry and very highly spicy. The sausage rolls were ok though.On the positive they have a reasonable collection of British sweets.

I had the small order of fish and chips. It's the best I've had in Florida, except maybe at EPCOT in the UK. They are very close. This place is worth looking for.Wheelchair accessibility: There isn't a ramp that I could see near the restaurant, but once on the sidewalk it's very accessible.

There are only meat pies? I expected all kinds of pies, bought a cookie and three scones. Surprised to pay $4ea. Not interested in the other selections.
As an Expat Brit I have to say what a disappointment this establishment was. Nothing to write home about here. The pies are all frozen and you are sent to the freezer to choose your pie. The chips are Syscos finest and although the meal was hot it was totally bland and tasteless. My wife ordered the scones and tea, we were then informed, once seated that they were out of scones, REALLY?She was offered an alternative of shortbread. This too was bland and very small.Would I recommend this establishment? Absolutely NOT, very disappointed.

My daughter and I had a lovely authentic afternoon English tea at the Proper Pie Company and it was a HIT!! Food was delicious and very fresh. The staff was WONDERFUL and took great care of us. It was a relaxed, very enjoyable afternoon. Thanks to Manager Mark for caring about his customers and for going the extra mike for our celebration. We'll definitely do this again!!!

My better half enjoys English pub-food and was excited to give this place a try. I am Not familiar with that type of faire and thus had no expectations. Much to my pleasure, the pies were fabulous! My favorites are the beef & onion and the buffalo chicken. Delish!
