The restaurant was closed when I arrived for my 8:00 PM reservation. I had to settle for the Yard House which was good but I was hoping for a more formal dinning experience. I called several times without any response. Finally at 8:50 PM someone answered and when I asked them if they were open she responded yes at 9:00 PM. So why did you accept a reservation for 8:00 PM. They blamed day light saving time. Totally ridiculous for a business to be run this way. I had read some reviews with other dinners experiencing the same. But didn't understand it. Now I know!
We had the Harisa soup, the Abu Hayzera meatballs, and the Shnitzel. The soup was delicious. Filled with lentils and other delicious veggies. Very filling. The meatballs were very nice. The schnitzel with eggplant was very moist and tender. Everything was delicately spiced. Service was excellent. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Will definitely go back.

We've been to Alma many times in the past and have always enjoyed our meal. This is the first time we've been there since Tagine has also been in business; we're sorry we didn't try this much sooner! The only downside was that my husband said that his lamb chops were way overcooked; he did order the to be medium rare and untrimmed. They were more well done and completely trimmed. Despite this, we were so lovingly taken care of by Yvonne, our server. She was available to us without being intrusive. We loved the atmosphere and the booth that was very comfortable, almost like being served on your couch at home. Such a nice change of menu from much of the usual menu items in meat restaurants in South Florida. We appreciate the diversity and the chance to treat our palates to a wonderful cuisine. Thank you!

Although this restaurant was originally called Bissele, we're told the owners are the same. Been to this restaurant many times in the past.We came here to celebrate a birthday.Ambience and service are excellent. A bit disappointed to learn that Sushi was no longer on the menu but same beautiful dessert menu.The short ribs are awesome!
Expensive for the cheap ambiance and food quality. Unorganized staff as well.Lamb was good, chicken was good. Burger was a disaster. Should be illegal to serve that burger. Was sent out well done and the beef wasn’t seasoned at all. Bland.I hope I am wrong with this one, but the onion rings tasted like they came from the freezer.

The reviews here gave me high hopes. Though the offerings were plenty and varied and service friendly and prompt, the food, both in terms of portions for the money and how they were prepared was less than satisfactory. My wife order the Pargiot on skewers; dark meat should be juicy therefore to receive it dry meant overcooked. Also there was only one skewer and it was not loaded with chicken on top of it. Very underwhelming. My burger, while tasty, was not medium , more like medium well. The fries were not flavorful but greasy. I am sorry but this establishment does not stand up to the others found elsewhere in Aventura.
