Went for Breakfast on a cool morning. My waitress Chloe was quick to bring a hot cup of coffee and took the rest of my order. Within 15 minutes I had perfectly over-easy eggs, creamy grits with a nice dab of butter on top, two slices of bacon crispy, and a biscuit that was grilled in butter! What a New Year’s Eve treat! Being wheelchair bound most service people ignore me. I was delighted to find Chloe didn’t do this at all. I had gotten a text from my son late in to my meal that he was coming over in a bit so I asked if he’d like anything. He let me know he’d wanted to try a waffle from Hawthorne Cafe. I ordered a strawberry waffle combo to go. He loved every bite: a Belgian waffle with fresh sliced macerated strawberries, scrambled eggs, and bacon! We will be back!Kid-friendliness: A young child was seated at the table behind me, and the waitress was amazing at making the child feel special, comfortable and happy.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible, friendly caring staff, clean comfortable environment.

My husband and I stopped at this cafe thinking it looked cute. Waitress was very nice. I ordered a tuna that did not look great and tasted mediocre. I just hope I don’t get sick. My husband ordered French fries that were terrible- hard-inedible. The bathroom was filthy. Paper all over the floor, trash can in need of being emptied. Restaurant was not busy, so no reason this wasn’t attended to. We won’t be back.

The burger was amazing, great flavor, and cooked perfectly. My unsweet tea was good. Service was very friendly. The dining room was full of people, I would recommend this cute little cafe.

We had just got done riding bikes 16 miles in Lochloosa wildlife management area and decided to go here for lunch. I had the Philly cheesesteak and fries. The cheese steak was really good and the fries were homemade with some seasoning on them.Parking: It’s in a shopping center strip mall. Lots of parking.

It is our go to for breakfast in Hawthorne and since the hours were extended to dinner we thought we would try it out. We had a nice dinner. I had the cod special and was very pleased. My wife had a chicken salad and was also pleased. It is under new management and in the process of being remodeled. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. A very welcoming atmosphere. Having worked in restaurants I can't help but peek in the food prep area. It is spic and span as is the dinning area.We will be coming back to try out more dinner specials.

Do not eat here, Food is disgusting and the servings compared to the price does not match up. I recommend driving the extra mile and eating at wrap shack or even Diane's. ??

Two of us went for Lunch today, 7/19, since breakfast has been good in past. Not the lunch! We each had unsweetened ice tea and Reuben Sandwiches. The tea had no taste and when looking at it in clear straws, tea was clear. The Reuben sandwiches were terrible. Small strips of meat, little sauerkraut, and watery sauce flowing out of cut sandwiches.Waitress was good..

I'm glad I found this little place. I eat breakfast here often. It's a toss up which is better. Food, or the service. Both deserve 5+ stars. It's a small town atmosphere with small town pricing. You WILL leave full, and with a smile.Bring your own Tabasco though!

Was refused service because I did not have documentation for my service dog. Florida Law states I do not have to provide documentation and the establishment can not ask what my disability is I was not asked what my disability however. The health department can not Trump Florida Law! Google it!
