We weren’t planning on eating Peruvian food while in San Jose, but we are SO glad that we found Esquinita Inka! We even came back a second time before leaving the city because it was so delicious! The aji de gallina was incredible and I highly recommend putting a spoonful of their house aji on top for a little extra spice— so delicious! My husband (who is Peruvian and picky!) loved the fettuccini with lomo saltado plate. Highly recommend Esquinita— you won’t be disappointed!

It was an absolutely amazing experience at Esquinita Inka. Food was delicious and service was great. We came in with our two kids and they treated them so well. Ceviche was off the charts and the pisco sour was one of the best we’ve had! Definitely needs to be ranked as one of the top restaurants in San Juan!

We were looking for a restaurant that was within walking distance of our hotel. Esquinita Inka kept popping up on the map, so we decided to try it. What an absolutely perfect meal! My companion had the Lomito de la Casa; I had the Lomito a la Huancaína. The beef was so incredibly tender, and each sauce was delicious. I had the Lecha Asada (similar to flan) for dessert - creamy, sweet, and perfectly caramelized. Well worth the walk, and very reasonably priced.

A new restaurant with off-street parking. Spacious interior with VIP rooms for groups / meetings with meals and they are planning a Street Food bar outside soon. Two wonderful Peruvian chefs cook up authentic meals from their homeland. Large portions and very fair prices. Service is friendly and efficient. Our Trio de Tiraditos was wonderful (especially the corvina in Leche de Tigre sauce). I had Corvina a lo Macho which was plentiful and tasty. They do a Lunch Special menu and have a bocas menu. Highly recommend.
