Three strikes, we are out (for now). As one who has worked in the restaurant industry, there are just some things you do and don’t do that one notices. Was never asked if our food was good or needed anything once the plates hit the table and had to ask for refills towards the end of our meal (mind you we placed our empty cups at the edge of the table so it’s easier to see). This might not have been an issue if they were busy but they had four tables, including ourselves with two servers. The BIG kicker for us not going back is the audacity of informing guests the chocolate cake is made in house when it is the exact same cake, decorative frosting and decorations included from Publix bakery. I have bought this “chocolate supreme cake” from Publix many times. When I said wow it looks identical to the one i buy at Publix, the waitress quickly chimed in that the chef was a baker at Publix in the past. This could very well be the truth but let me tell you, I know my cakes and chocolate. Pretty sure we overheard them talking about my comment in the back but at this point we were done and just got up to leave after paying. We weren’t told bye on the way out but that’s okay. Love the vibe, food is hit or miss. Lesson? Just say your dessert is from a bakery in town, I wouldn’t have minded as much.

MOUTHWATERING SABOR!! The food was absolutely amazing. Perfectly seasoned, did not need any salt or pepper from me.. which is rare. I ordered the Pechuga a la Plancha and it did not disappoint.Being Hispanic and growing up around such food, a lot of restaurants in Melbourne really miss the mark when it comes to preparing delicious food that tastes like it comes straight out of your mama’s kitchen.Nini’s hit the bullseye. To start - the chicken was thinly sliced but made up for its thin cut with massive size. Despite that thin cut, it was juicy, mouthwatering, and FLAVORFUL!! No skimping on onions or lime..Served with a side of black beans chock full of bacon grease (I believe) and seasonings bringing back nostalgic memories of my mom’s cooking.. I knew I was in the right place. The rice is nothing to write home about of course, but that’s because it’s made to be eaten with the delicious black beans! What IS worth writing home about, however, is their homemade SOFRITO. Served with my chicken and my boyfriend’s skewers, this sauce is like crack. Just try it!!Onto my 4 stars for service, we came on a Thursday night and the restaurant was almost at capacity. I don’t think they staffed properly for this because there was only 2 servers rotating hostess duties. Due to that, service was a bit slow but very friendly nonetheless. We were never neglected.Atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired, not sure if I came on a bad day but the bathroom inside was a little smelly. Whether that be from the chemicals used to clean it or some sewage issue, but I seemed to be the only one bothered by it. Curse my sensitive nose! All in all, do not let my 4 stars for service and atmosphere prevent you from going. It’s very possible I just came on a bad day. The FOOD is what you’re coming for. And that is the crowning jewel of reasons why I will be returning to Nini’s.

What a nice little Cuban restaurant. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food tasted excellent. We did the Cuban sandwiches and the fried pork plate. If I were to make a comment to help the location, it would be to balance the sandwich. Sliced meat on the sandwich was off to one side and wasn't that big. Other than that, like I said, the food tasted excellent. So please give them a try We will be back. Enjoy...Parking: Parking is on the west side of the building and the rear.

A very nice hole in the wall style restaurant. The atmosphere is great and service is even better.Every time I've gone, food has been exceptional, and their Sangria might be the best in the county. Never a bad experience, and I look forward to eating there whenever I'm around that part of town!

Wow- what a wonderful surprise in Melbourne to be treated to the most fantastic fresh Mojito with beautiful fresh mint. The food we had was well presented as well as delicious! I enjoyed the chicken on skewer wrapped with bacon alongside with pineapple. My friend had ropa vieja which was delectable. And the roast pork with onion with garlic and lime which was so tender and delicious. The yucca was tender and perfectly prepared. The waiting staff were attentive and knowledgeable with great recommendations. Don’t miss this amazing authentic gem and make sure you treat yourself to the mojito.

The food was very good but service was slow and we had to keep asking for drinks as the whole table was out. Lastly the prices were high for Cuban for which is mainly beans , rice and one meat. The Vica frita was 20.00 dallors and a small portion.

This is the best and most traditional Cuban food we have had in a few years ....and the best we have had in Brevard County. The service was great, portions are substantial, the regular prices are very good. Update : they stopped having happy hour ?
