For $2 ($1 if you're local) for the day, you get a great views and shaded seating closer to shore. Bring some food to sit and enjoy this unique vantage point. Keep your ticket for re-entry the same day.

Jacksonville Beach Pier stands as a beacon of coastal charm, offering visitors an array of experiences amidst the soothing rhythm of the Atlantic Ocean waves. As I strolled along the wooden planks of the pier, I was immediately captivated by the panoramic views stretching across the sparkling waters. Whether you're an avid angler casting your line into the deep blue sea or simply seeking a tranquil spot to watch the sunrise or sunset, the pier's serene ambiance invites you to unwind and savor the beauty of nature. For fishing enthusiasts, the pier boasts ample space and amenities, including cleaning stations and bait shops, making it a prime destination for reeling in a prized catch. Even if fishing isn't your forte, the sight of locals and visitors alike eagerly awaiting a bite adds to the vibrant atmosphere of camaraderie and relaxation.Beyond fishing, the pier offers a host of recreational opportunities, from leisurely strolls to birdwatching and dolphin spotting. Along the way, charming shops and eateries beckon with the promise of delicious seafood and refreshing treats, perfect for refueling after a day of exploration. One of the pier's most enchanting features is its role as a front-row seat to Mother Nature's spectacle. From breaching whales to majestic seabirds in flight, the ever-changing tableau of marine life provides endless opportunities for awe and wonder.Whether you're seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life or an exciting outdoor adventure, Jacksonville Beach Pier offers something for everyone. With its timeless allure and natural beauty, it's no wonder this iconic landmark remains a beloved destination for locals and visitors alike.

Lived in the area for a dozen years during thru 2000. Really enjoyed my time at the beaches; rode the beach many times from Mayport down to St Aug; if I miss-timed the tide and the sand was too soft, switched onto A1A (took life in hands due to basically no shoulder). The beach and bars provided a nice relaxing atmosphere back then. Been back several times; the beaches still are nice...but the traffic in Jax is real bad.

Loved this place! Perfect for a walk out onto the water where you can enjoy a beautiful view. Picnic tables are available and benches to take a little break. Very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend!

Costs $1 to enter and the man who took my money also had snack to sell. I went to watch the sunrise so it wasn't crowded. It is kind of dirty, but I got to see many birds and even got to see some kind of animal with a fin (Dolphin?!).Beware Because the pier can get slippery, I slipped on my way out and that wasn't very fun.

Pier provided a beautiful scene of the ocean. We visited early evening, so lighting was not good. The pier provided the sight of the ocean the my grandchildren can check off their list of places to visit. We stayed at AIR BNB on Upper 8th S in Jacksonville Beach. Beautiful home with heated pool and plenty of in house activities for the grandchildren.
