On vacation and all my son has been asking for is sushi for his birthday. This place looked great and had fantastic reviews. My wife is allergic to shellfish so I popped in with my son to get a roll and meet my wife and daughter next door. 5:30 pm on a Friday and there were six people in the restaurant - 3 of them at the bar. ONE table. They would not make me one roll to go. I understand not taking to go orders on the weekend because you get busy but the restaurant was empty and they said we HAD to sit down to order food. They could have easily made an exception for ONE sushi roll but they would not do it. My son was literally in tears walking out. Thank you.

It was my first time, and I loved everything. The service, the presentation, and of course the food. This has now become my favorite place to eat and relax.

Came with a group of friends for dinner, food was amazing, the server was even better! This is exactly what Jax beach needs! They even have a guy who opens the door for you! Why aren’t more places providing service like this anymore? Ask for Lana, you won’t be disappointed!

This place sucks. It took 20 minutes for us to even get a waiter to ask us for drinks/food. Then it took a hour for the food to get there. The total bill for five sushi rolls and pork was 140 dollars. The food was also average sushi. This was a Thursday.

Friends and I visited this spot to celebrate the birthday of a mutual friend. We were welcomed. upon arrival by host and server for the evening. The server ( name starts with a K) did an amazing job of sharing the top items to consider on the menu their selected favs food items and drinks. The service and atmosphere were both O-mazing and clean, and chic decor. What we ordered: Yellowtail carpaccio, TUNA Tataki, Brussel Sprouts, sushi- oceanside, fuego, firecracker.Cocktails: Sugar & Spice , Road to Nowhere,

Second time visiting, for the price they charge we should be getting better hospitality. We were celebrating 3 birthdays tonight, it’s kind of a big deal. The server barely introduced himself in the first place, he didn’t ask if we were celebrating anything (which is expected in nicer restaurants) but that’s fine, I mentioned it and he didn’t seem to care much. I’m not asking for a red carpet or anything crazy, you get what I mean… If you work with customer service you should at least pretend you care about people’s birthdays ?. When he dropped the check he didn’t even say a “happy birthday”, or “enjoy your birthday night”. I feel that even at some average low-budget dining place like Olive Garden they would treat us better ??‍♀️The sushi was good, nothing to die for. They try too hard to make the menu over complicated to sound fancy. The environment is nice but the place is just overrated in my opinion.

I visited with my girlfriend for a special night, and wow! O-ku doesn’t disappoint. In fact, they go above and beyond. Our server, Ian, made our experience unforgettable. Ask for Ian when you dine here!
