We stopped in on a lazy Saturday afternoon at the beach and the Sandbar did not disappoint! The food was amazing, the price was right and the service was amazing. The bartender and Matthew were super awesome! So happy we are local and can come back again and again. It definitely needs to be 4.9 out 5!

The bartender is really quite nice and was helpful and informative, gave a great run down on the specials and nothing bad to say about him. Here is where they fall down, the food. I ordered the bbq chicken flatbread as it was on special but let me tell you it’s so overpowering that there is no chance you would get to taste the chicken, cheese or onion on this flatbread , all you can taste is an overwhelming bbq sauce. Save your money and go the fridge and gulp down some bbq sauce the outcome will be the same, so instead I opted for the chicken wings , $15 for 6 comes with two small sticks of celery and carrot and some blue cheese dressing that makes you wonder if they gave you ranch instead (no blue cheese), but that’s not the worst of it , the chicken was old, dry and burned. Imagine if you’d fried chicken wings four days ago, left them in the fridge to get old and dry and then put them in a 500 degree oven for too long and you’d be somewhat close to the absolute disaster that these are. I didn’t have the energy to complain twice so now I’m having to go find somewhere else entirely to eat . But if your going to charge $15 for six small wings at least make sure they are good. Come on people , do better. SMH*** update so I went back today and I am pleased to announce they re did the wings for half off ( to be honest I thought I should have been free) but they did listen and I am pleased to say the second batch of wings were much better and so maybe the chef was just having a bad day here is the photos of the second wing order. Clearly much better . It’s still a lovely location with a great ocean view.

Great location for brunch with a beach view! It was a rainy day when I went so there weren't too many people so service was great. Food was pretty good and coffee was refilled many times. Would go again for the view and to try something new!

Stopped here for an app and a drink before a late dinner reservation. A cute little bar area tucked into the hotel! The views from the bar was amazing- directly at nothing but ocean. We had a couple drinks, super reasonable prices and some tasty concoctions to select from. I had the Bourbon Mango Smash, my partner had a couple G&T (the house gin is Roku, which is a nice pour!) We also got the crispy Brussels, which were better than anything we had at dinner ha! Really enjoyed them, slightly spicy slightly sweet, really good. The dinner menu looked good too, would try that sometime!

This is INSIDE the Marriott, so head into the hotel and go to the 2nd floor. From there, the restaurant is located to the left if you're facing the ocean. We had a lovely time! Our server, Giovanni, was attentive and informative. The ambiance was perfect for a lunch by the ocean. It was really fun to people-watch! The food was good - tasty, good portions, nothing spectacular but for the price and location, definitely worth it! If I was staying in the hotel I'd definitely recommend and I also will likely be back for lunch with out-of-town guests.

Great food and not outrageous prices. Had the brunch and the night before had appetizers and dinner. Everyone in our group agreed the food was good. The space is beautiful with doors that open to let the sea breeze in.

I've enjoyed lunch a few times at Sandbar, and each experience has been great! The views are amazing here, and I love that they have a bar of seats outside, so you can just look right out at the beach. You have to go up the elevator to floor 2 to access the restaurant. The whole hotel is literally brand new, so it is beautiful and spotless. All of the employees I've interacted with have been super friendly and helpful too. I sat inside one time and even with the fans out, it was still brutally hot with the open air. I knew this going into it, but since its a beachy restaurant so it is to be expected. I love sitting outside, having a glass of wine, and people watching. The fish tacos are a solid lunch. The portion is large and I usually sub the chips for a side salad. The key lime pie is great too. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, but not at all stuffy. I have gone here in my bathing suit cover up and wasn't out of place. Super casual, nice people, good food, and great views. Also reasonable prices! Five stars for this hidden gem!

This addition to Jacksonville beach has elevated the more area! This is a beautiful spot and better than any other water front bar in the area. I've lived here awhile so I think it's safe to say! The view is perfect, not too high up and not on the ground where you aren't able to see the water. The decor is sleek and modern. The drinks are great- can't complain. The Nashville chicken sandwich was amazing and I can't wait to get it again but the calamari was probably the worst I've ever had. I would try anything else before getting that again. As others have mentioned, service can be terribly slow. If you go at lunch time (even on a Friday) there is only one bartender/server running around. It can take awhile to get a drink and sometimes even more difficult to get a second drink or food. I hate to say this since I know they are working hard, but I hope that management can spare a few dollars and at least add another person on a regular basis!
We absolutely love this spot. The view and atmosphere are amazing. Ralph the bartender is an excellent representative of this restaurant and it's atmosphere. His service is so great we will absolutely be coming back!

I could see it and then I walked around to the front and talked to the valet who directed me to go up into the lobby and threw it and it's just in the back.I already knew what I wantedCaesar salad with mahi and it did not disappoint excellent amount for the money and the view is just stellar.Go here have a drink Get some food Just sit at the railing As you watch the waves and feel the breeze in your face as the sunsets.So glad I found this place It's just what I wanted.

The burger had an odd taste. I could only eat half of it. I was charged for an alcoholic beverage that I did not order/drink. My request for a refund was refused. I won’t go back there.
