Have been going to this restaurant for about 5 years. It's very hit or miss in my opinion. The service can be good or very bad as well as the food. One of my favorites on the menu and is pretty consistently good, is the chicken sandwich with brie. The french fries are very good when they are hot and fresh. They have some good bands play, but it is often very hot when there is a bigger crowd, especially if you are dancing any. Overall, it can be a fun place but they could use some improvements.

My son wanted to eat here tonight so I decided we would have a family night. When we got there we were pretty much the only ones sitting at a table. People were there for happy hour. We were greeted by a young man I assume was the manager. Looked like the bartender was the only waitress so he was helping out. They have an extensive adult beverage selection. This included many specialty cocktails, a huge list of beers both in tap and draft and a large selection of wine. I chose the Tropical Skyy that was delicious and we'll proportions on the vodka. My husband got a draft. My son ate the sunrise burger which came out as a huge burger mixed with breakfast items. He said it was juicy and cooked to perfection. My husband got the velvet rooster which was a grilled piece of chicken, brie, pear and bacon. While it was a wonderful sandwich, the chicken was rubbery. I had the jax cheese steak which was delicious especially the addition of the beer cheese on top!! We will return and recommend you try them!

I stopped in last night to have dinner with a friend. It wasn't busy at 5pm. We were seated right away and the bartender Audrey was our server as well. She was very attentive and helpful. We both got the fish and chips. It was really good. A good sized pieces of fish. Loved the fresh cut fries. Their ranch is really good and thick! Then we got dessert. I got the chocolate mousse pie and it was good. My friend got the pineapple coconut layer cake. She really liked it.I also went to the restroom and they were clean. I loved the hands free door opener!

Great service from Nicole. The 80s trivia contest was a blast. Also, great nachos. A great time was had by all.

Gave 2 stars because I feel bad for them… started off wrong entered the door saw sign to wait to be seated . No one came. I turned around to right corner and the hostess was sitting behind a counter rolling her eyes and head like we were supposed to know she was there. It would have made since for her to get off her butt and greet the customers- very rude- ridiculous! Band was extremely loud! Server was nice but couldn’t hear over the band to take order. Asked for a drink menu, but settled on Sweet tea which wasn’t the best but he couldn’t hear to know we wanted menu. Band stopped so he took our order. Food was out in 10 minutes if that. Quick service. Reuben egg rolls bland and tasteless. I had the Jville Cheesesteak, (supposed to be prime rib, NOT) odd burnt plastic smell, tough, nasty. No taste other than almost burnt flavor but nothing was burnt? Not sure if it was a cleaner, dirty grill, or if something melted/ burnt near it. Fries were good. Staying next door! Exhausted from driving thought it would be worth the try. Going to bed hungry and disappointed! I advise travelers to drive down the road don’t take the easy way out!

Service was great, staff was friendly and attentive. Good mix of locals and guests from the hotel next door. We were there on Thursday evening which was “Music Trivia Bingo”…. Fun atmosphere! Ordered pulled chicken nachos which were good and the crab encrusted cod served on Yukon Hold mashed potatoes and asparagus. The presentation was very nice but the cod was a little overcooked and not very hot when it was served. Overall a good experience.

The October surprise at Whiskey Jax is the amazing October Specials menu items including Pork Rouladen (pork, bacon, apples, pickles, beef glaze), Southern Fried Chicken (cheese grits, gravy) and German Goulash (braised beef with tomato sauce). All of these tasted amazing along with the standard menu Fried Green Tomatoes. Complements to the chef. I was totally surprised by the quality of this home-style German cooking. Perfect for a cold front coming through. My partner enjoyed the Margarita and I selected a delicious Lager. There was no bread on the menu which would have been great with all the flavorful sauces. Got the fries instead which are as well made as all the other food. The only disappointment was the German Fish Soup. The broth was tasty but the fish was a little too fishy. This would be a nice place to meet up with the fellahs and watch a game. If you are looking for a single guy, this would be a good place to prospect among all the single dads at the bar discussing custody issues and how well their girls were doing at Fletcher. Will definitely come back to this convenient pub.

i really enjoyed the food, drinks and service. the only downside was we came on a thursday night where there was musical trivia and jesus the bar guests were really rude. they were playing the game and yelling "shut up" and loudly talking about how much they disliked the host. katy made me & my boyfriends experience at whiskey jax. it's disappointing that you would allow bar guests so obviously degrade someone who is being paid to enhance an otherwise slow night for you. kudos to katy for doing such a good job!!!

We ate dinner here tonight.. no wait because it was kinda late. Food and service were great. It is nice because we walked to it from our hotel and got a 10% discount since we are staying at the hotel next door! Highly recommend!

Love seafood and your cod was the best I've had in years. Very relaxing atmosphere and great service

Went there to watch the Braves game. The bar food was mediocre at best. Loud drunk-ass men yelling at each other across the bar. The atmosphere trailer park. Wont be back.
