Absolutely delicious food!!!! We travel from Lake City just to eat there. When you walk in, the staff is welcoming and friendly. Our goal is to try everything on the menu. The Manager who is a male just makes you feel at home and he makes sure you have everything you need.
Food was good but the Second Lady after the white girl is extremely rude. They didn't put the sides in correct plates. She just has a very nasty attitude and it's not my fault she' has to be there she needs to be in the kitchen not serving guest. I don't recommend coming here.

Visited for the 1st time about a month ago and believe me when I’m in Jacksonville I gotta get me a plate the food is very good and they do give you large portions, I ate off 1 plate for a whole day lol. Where to start hmmm I guess in this time of age 2024 where it seems that All is Lost where Dr Martin Luther King Jr dream is not thought of where we would walk hand in hand together (paraphrasing) where unity is not sought after but separation and division is taught and encouraged. This Urban hidden Jewel where all are welcome and the food is not only delicious but reasonable on their prices like you can go and get a $5 plate that has a piece of chicken rice and one other side and a piece of delicious cornbread. But I must say one thing that has me on (oh my God) why y'all do this to me lol for all that had the luxury of trying this desert, now first before I say the name of the desert, let me understand y'all one thing. this name has everyone who did not have the pure pleasure of trying this desert doesn't understand that it is not, that I don't know what it's called but the name is (what-u- ma-call-it) how it was describe to me the first and only time I was able to taste a piece of heaven was that it is like peach cobbler but with a twist. Oh so lovely. I highly recommend even if you have to put it in your budget to try this desert for now if you tried to get me to eat some peach cobbler I'm going to ask you where's the twist lol for without the twist my heart will be forever broken lol but all jokes and laughing aside I highly recommend this restaurant for all things above are straight from a man's heart that has drove cross-country as a truck driver and has been in 47 states in America and in this time of age you can get good atmosphere, Good vibes, good food at a very good price in 2024 I hope one day I might see the ones in this restaurant who would read this long review. I hope you all enjoy this restaurant as much as I have came to enjoy it in such a short time.

It's always crowded so get there early or be prepared to wait in line. & The Sweet tea . Is so sweet that you can add a gallon of water to it & make a gallon.
My original review 6months ago was better than what I'm posting today. When I first went here, the food was great, customer service was great, and the atmosphere was great. But today I got the greens, yellow rice, fish, field peas, and seafood salad. I don't know if they changed cooks or trying to cut corners, but the greens were too salty and had that tin can after taste. The field peas were actually canned black eyed peas. I could taste old grease in the fish. The seafood salad and yellow rice were okay. I must say I was deeply disappointed. Although they have excellent customer service, you expect "homemade" at a soul food restaurant. I also don't expect to pay these kind of prices for canned sides. Annie, you're a sweet lady, but somebody not doing you justice in your kitchen. I like to support my black businesses, but I won't be back until I hear you're doing better.
