No longer called Cafe Kabob. New name and menu and changed some. Chicken soup was delicious. Taboulleh fresh. Hummus was ordinary. Full menu was not available yet. Will go back a little later on.

Cafe Kabob is a delightful friendly neighborhood location with ample parking and seating. They also have a vibrant call-in/pick up trade.Food was of excellent quality, and served hot. Good variety of menu selections, and the best baba ghanoush I have ever had. I have had eaten a a lot of it. Even better than my own. The pita bread was very fresh as well.We chatted with a beautiful local family who gave us some pointers on attractions we should be sure to enjoy while in the area.We do not give out FIVE STARS very often. We are CIA (Culinary Institute of America ) foodies and love good food. We will make an effort to visit again, even if we have to travel across the state to do it

The food was spectacular and the service was just as delightful. If you're looking for some Mediterranean food in Jax and found yourself on the southside, give them a try. You won't regret it.

Didn’t love it. Went at around 3pm so maybe the regular kitchen people weren’t there. Service was pretty good, food was average. Probably not a $60+ meal for two.The pita bread was served straight out of the microwave, inside of the Cedar’s Bakery retail/grocery plastic bag. Don’t think that’s microwave safe…

My husband and I had debated several times about going since its surrounded by two other yummy restaurants (Modu Ramen and Noom Thai Bistro). Luckily for us, it was a Monday and Noom Thai surprised us by being closed. Cafe Kabob has a simple, clean dining room. The menu has Arabic and Persian dishes. We ordered the Platter (feast) for 2 which included 4 kabobs: 1 steak, 1 chicken and 2 ground beef as well as plates of rice, salad, roasted tomatoes and stew that we subbed out for hummus instead.Every. Single. Bite. Was. Fantastic. And we loved it!!The meat was extremely tasty. Everything complimented. The chicken was perfect dipped in the hummus. The beef, rice, salad, hummus were perfect mixed up. The roasted tomatoes were amazing in and of themselves. Pita is provided so it worked well to scoop your food or dip it in the fresh hummus. We tried the butter provided with the rice and it also added something to it. On the tables are various seasonings and I was surprised to find they weren’t just one dimension of spicy hot pepper, ha. They weren’t really spicy in that way but instead extremely flavorful and different, they complimented the roasted tomatoes especially well. Everything was delicious and we highly recommend dinner or lunch here. One more thing, PLEASE take our server’s advice and try their dessert. That Knafeh is amazing!!!! And I was glad we paired it with the very reasonably priced yet super high quality Arabic coffee. Yes, the dessert was the crowning moment for us. It is a delicacy special enough for a wedding. Our server was very kind and when I told him how happy I was with the dessert and food and that I would be writing a review, he said the coffee was on them. It seems they want to get the word out! It’s been a while and I hadn’t posted but we’ve been back several times already!!! Try their breakfast dish and chopped veggie salad together… so amazing. Also, their yogurt cucumber concoction is amazing though I can’t remember if it is listed as a soup or salad.Enjoy!!!

I know Lebanese food very well, and this one is very good. Made by a Syrian family, father and son bring family memories in the kitchen while maintaining the originality and flavor of authentic Syrian-Lebanese cuisine. The chickpea paste, the fava beans, the Faté, the pickles were all very tasty. The falafel was magnificently crispy on the outside, soft and green inside, the cilantro and garlic were present as required. The tabuli was noted for the fresh parsley and seasoned in a way that pleases everyone. Not too citrusy and not too salty. This is the second time I come to this house. And I noticed that the kafta skewer lacks flavor and juiciness, too dry for me, too thin for the meat, lacking cumin and parsley, , and the pita bread was kind of hard..Last time I had no luck with the meat either.. the meat kabab, it was dry and you could see that the protein had already lost all the blood before being grilled. The service is reasonable, but they need to reinforce one more person in the room not to be abandoned and need to get up whenever you need to order a drink. The house has a typical Arab decoration, but the furniture is old and the seats are not very comfortable. The musical background of the singer Fairouz leaves the atmosphere refined.Vegetarian options: chickpea paste, the fava beans, the Faté, the pickles The falafel

Great authentic food. Fast and friendly service. Not expensive. We have ordered different items from the menu at different times and all the food tasted very good.

This is a wonderful place to get authentic Middle Eastern food. The restaurant is clean and spacious. I cannot express enough how personable the staff are. It feels like I’m dining with family! Today I selected the grape leaves and falafels. Both were excellent! I highly recommend CAFE’ KABOB the next time you want to experience middle eastern food at its best!

I took a date for a late lunch because the reviews for this place were so good. It had a nice ambiance and friendly staff. We were both really disappointed when our food came out cold. Not even warm. The butter didn't melt on the rice. Just rolled around. The chicken and steak were lukewarm at best. The tomatoes were the only thing with steam coming from them. We ended up letting the server know and we just left. Maybe it was food left over from lunch that they tried to reheat for us. We won't be back.
