If you are in the area, go to Cousin Willie's! My hubby and I are on a road trip from the cold, snowy area north of the Mason Dixon line to Ft Myers, Florida. We stopped for gas and a late lunch and found Cousin Willie's. With the gigantic concrete pig outside, we just had to try it. We ordered the three meat platter with beef, pork, and turkey to split. We picked baked beans and fried okra as the side dishes and it came with two slices of garlic bread. Everything was delicious! And it's probably the best turkey I've ever had - very juicy and tender. The food was excellent as well as the service. I ranked the atmosphere five stars as well because it's very clean, but be aware this is not a fine dining experience. The decor is fun and quirky.

Stopped in one Saturday evening recently. As I walked in it wasn't very busy. As I took my seat, a young waitress comes over, and advises they were out of pork, beef, chicken wings, and a few other things that escape my mind right now. I opted for a two meat combo of turkey and sausage. I have to say that was the best turkey I have gotten at a barbecue restaurant anywhere in Jacksonville. The baked beans were very good, the mac and cheese left a little to be desired but that's understandable since I came so late in the evening. I most definitely recommend this establishment, and I will definitely be going back. I also will use them for catering. It's not very often I'm impressed with a barbecue joints turkey, but, this time it was outstanding. The turkey had plenty of flavor, was not dry, and did not taste like processed meat like other local establishments. Don't be fooled by the little hole in the wall appearance, try it out. You won't be sorry. UPDATE: Visited again during lunch on a weekday, this time pulled pork & turkey combo with beans and mac & cheese. Had to retry the mac. It was very good and highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: Small family oriented establishment

Went in 10/12/23 ordered a side of squash which was so hard needed a knife to cut them sandwich was ok fries had so much seasoned salt was uneatable.the waitress took an order from people that came in after us after that she restocked straws , wiped tablesPut out paper towels then finely came to do our order in a nice way I want be going back also did not have a working bathroom for customers glad I had hand sanitizer in my purse I'm pretty sure with know working bathroom it would be shut down pretty sure inspectors would of done just that.
