The driest huspuppies I’ve had in my life. Also oysters on the half shell took forever to be served, when they were, they were not chilled. Didn’t feel sanitary. Honestly didn’t want to eat room temperature oysters. The server was nice but the bar staff and manager were rude.

First time here they experience so good. when you first walk in. Open space and unique layout. I went for brunch we got the fish and grits which was mind blowing good and chicken and waffles which where so soft and the chicken season. There was a DJ there also. They have a cute backyard area and patio area. Rachel was my server and she was so great. Very friendly and attentive.

Stopped in with a friend on a whim for drinks after work last Friday afternoon. Easy to find and parking was no problem (sometimes hard to pull off in this area). We were greeted fast with warm and welcoming service. The outdoor area in the back is super cute, covered, and cozy with several seating options and some games as well. When we were tired of sitting outside in the heat (they have several fans, we are just pansies! Lol) We moved in to the cute and comfy couches. Perfect for chatting and snacking with the girls! The menu had alot to offer and the drinks were spot on amazing! But....the best part was the service!! We were assisted by Gabby and Christine and let me tell you, those ladies are the best! They were so friendly, helpful, and attentive, even when they were slammed with large parties! They made some amazing recommendations for food and drinks. And really made us feel like family! ❤ Amazing customer service is an understatement! For that alone, this might have to be our new hangout!

It pains me a little to rate 1937 three stars. Ambiance is 5 stars, service 3 stars, food 2 stars. This is my third time visiting 1937, second time ordering food, and I actually did not order any alcoholic drinks this visit. I photographed my friends drink which was very pretty and delicious. The plan was to celebrate my belated bday here with girlfriends, and an upcoming friends bday. We planned in advance to get drinks at Gemma down the street first, then head here for dinner - which is what we did.We had a very nice server the whole experience, but; she kept forgetting about us. We sat and sat both when she had another large table, and when there were no other tables. She did mention on one occasion she did apologize for us waiting when she had a large table. But then the rest of the meal, she still forgot about us even after acknowledging, and after her large table was gone which was before all of our entrees came out.1937 was dead on a Saturday night. I wish this wasn’t true because this place has so much potential; I want to see it stay and thrive but the service and food just doesn’t match how much effort went into this place to make it so inviting and fun.Our appetizers and desserts did not taste made fresh in house. I actually took two bites of those pretzel bites, and did not want anymore. Which is unusual bc normally, a pretzel of some sort would be my first choice. My burger had hard bits of charred grit from the grill throughout the whole burger. (Did not photograph since again, this was a fun meet up with friends focusing on engaging with them & not critiquing food) When glancing at my friends burger, her’s looked like it was okay and char free. I did not say anything about the burger because at this point, in my opinion it was moot. After the so so appetizers, I specifically ordered what I thought would be an easy item that would be fail proof. A burger was not the best choice I guess.I thought the funnel cake would kinda save the day but it came out with hardly any powdered sugar on top at all - which in my opinion, is kinda the main point of the funnel cake. Without it, it’s just fried dough. When I asked the server for more powdered sugar, I was given the smallest, not even one ounce serving to put on top of the funnel cake. I took a picture for reference. From apps to entrees to dessert, I was turned off. I had a friend order a piece of pie - without even giving my opinion on the food what so ever, she said it was giving publix’s frozen pie brand - Edward’s. I feel like little to no food is made in house here and you are just paying for overpriced things you could easily get yourself at the local grocery store, and make quickly at home. And this is not me trying to come for 1937 at all. This is my genuine, honest constructive criticism after spending money here 3 different occasions through out 2023 and 2024.I hope they can make a few adjustments and stay. If you are coming here for drinks and ambiance , you won’t be disappointed.

The decor is fabulous and the food has been great the last couple times we have been there. Unfortunately they are severely understaffed which I think is a shame and a sign of the times. We went to another place. Good luck and I hope you make it another year ?

Try the fried quail and the chicken tenders. They're both good as is the seasoning on their fries. The shrimp toast wasn't bad, but needs something else to make it great. I just don't k ow what.My top shelf Long Island Iced Tea was disappointing, especially for $18. I'd still go back though.

I was a bit scared of coming here because of some of the reviews, but I'm happy to report that this place did not disappoint.Went on a Sunday night and pretty much had the place to ourselves. We sat at the bad and were greeted by Sara. She's awesome, by the way. Their menu looks pretty good. We had their pork chop with hushpuppies and broccoli, and the blackened grouper with corn and fries. For drinks we had the Neptune and the French 904.Hands down the pork chop, grouper, and the corn and the Neptune where the best things of the night. The chop was so caramelized to perfection, and the grouper was so yummy.Definitely recommend.

The food is great but I came here to sit outside for a few snacks and drinks because it was a pretty day. And was rudely told to leave by Sarah, a manager. She had even mentioned the private party was supposed to be in the front of the restaurant. There were no private event signs on any doors and a coworker had told us it was okay to go outside. Maybe the effect of poor training of management skills. I would not recommend coming if you are expecting the workers to act like they want to be working. The only coworker who wanted to be there was bartender Mateo.
