We came to Jacksonville to see a show at The Comedy Zone and wanted to get some food before it started. I had never heard of this place, but I'm glad we came here. The staff was friendly and inviting and the menu was full of tasty sounding foods.My girlfriend and I each had a burger, the Black and Bleu and Which One Came First. Our two friends split a pizza. Our burgers were very good and the thick pizza looked amazing. We also enjoyed the JAX sauce. Would definitely recommend you pop in here if you want a tasty burger, pizza, or some else from their large menu.

UPDATED:After writing this review 3 weeks ago, the owner Howdy reached out asking us to come back and give them another chance on him. We did that tonight and I can honestly say it does look like they’ve gotten back on track. Service was relatively quick and the food was as good as I remember it being in previous years. Burgers were cooked perfectly and flavor was in point. My husband was able to get a milkshake which he hasn’t been able to get in a while and it was delicious! The restaurant was very clean and there was a busboy constantly checking the dish bins and making sure things were clean and tidy. Because I had seen recent reviews mention the bathrooms being horrible I checked the women's room out and it was immaculate. I have also attached some photos from this visit. All in all, I am very happy to say that we will continue to visit regularly like we used to! Thank you, Howdy for making sure that your awesome restaurant continues to be a local favorite!Disappointed that Jumpin’ Jax seems have gone down hill. I wrote a rave review for this place under my other account 3 years ago but we’ve been in 4 times in the last year and each time it has been disappointing. My husband loved the milkshakes here but now every time we go in, the milkshake machine is broken (giving me McDonalds vibes). Even last time we went in, the person ahead of us ordered a milkshake but when we went to order they said it had just stopped working. The last time we went there was also no seasoning on the fries. The wait times have gone through the roof and I get that places are short staffed but when we went last time we asked for an extra side of aioli and the person (manager we thought) got it then went to another table to chat for several minutes with it in hand - we realized this when we asked the waiter again for the sauce and he literally went to take it from the other man’s hand standing at that other table. Today we waited 40 minutes to get 1 burger and 1 kids pizza. When the burger came out it did not include the fries so my husband had to ask for those. He also wasn’t given the kids drink to go with the meal and when he asked the gentleman at the counter he argued it was not included despite my husband pointing to where it states it’s included on the menu. When I got home and sat down to eat my burger I noticed the tomato was mushy and gross, it was missing pickles, and the patty was burnt to the point of tasting/feeling like ash around the outer edges (maybe it had been on the grill for the whole 40 mins we waited..?). We used to love supporting this local business but I’m not sure how much longer we’ll keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Giving 2 stars because I know what they can be and part of me still wants to have hope.

Yummy burgers and the cole slaw was amazing. We also ordered chicken tenders for my little one. They were good too. Everything was nice and hot.

Great family restaurant with the best burgers in Jax, in my opinion. Prices are fair and the menu has a wide assortment of items for everyone to find something that they like. It's a walk-up, place your order, and sit-down and the staff will bring out your food environment.

I was very surprised to find this establishment in the condition it was today. The young lady at the order desk was very friendly and helpful, but it ended there. There were no clean utensils, it looked like the restaurant needs a good top to bottom cleaning. I noticed it was much more empty than I have seen in years prior and now I think I understand why. Very disappointing, I hope they get their act together here again!

I started going here twice a month for the last 3months. The staff always have a happy and positive spirit. The food is delicious and always cooked right. They have a lot of different selections to choose from. The restaurant is clean. They even bring your food to your table and do to-go orders also. I will be back next week!

This is like the marvel movie of restaurants. They do nearly everything and none of it particularly well. They also take way too long to deliver a subpar product. The end result is over produced and overly saccharine sweet, leaving nothing to remember and nothing to really be upset about. Was this a film critique or a food review? I leave that to you. This place certainly tastes and is one of the restaurants of all time.

Service was great ratings of food below: Pizza-9 great flavor of sauce and dough, one of the few pizzas I've had down here that also tasted great cold A little skimpy with toppings Onion rings and fries-10 great crispy coating and a generous portion Burgers-7.5 nice size and loved the buns and toppings (fresh lettuce tomato and onion) asked for medium was on the rarer side of medium rare. The only was it seemed the grill top must've had a little excess char residue for other cooking. Burger had burnt fond on it that was very fine running off it in the juices, indicating grill top was not scraped clean before another burger was cooked. Over all I will be going back to try other items and I am looking forward to that .

Was not happy with this place. Heard a lot about it months ago, but nothing since, so decided to go for lunch around noon on Sunday7/10. Easy ordering, but the place was so hot as if the air conditioners were off or weren't working. I ordered the flippy flop, and the cod looked like it was fried in old oil or just left in too long- dark brown, not a golden color. The soda machines seemed to be all flat or out of syrup The grates at the bottom of the machine looked rusted and/or molded. Took my daughter to the family restroom and it was disgusting... either someone was sick from one or both ends, or no one cared to clean after a few days. Completely lost my appetite and just tossed everything. A waste of 37 $ today between the 3 of us.
Probably the best place for breakfast, on the weekends only I believe. Don't sleep on the breakfast pizza. I recommend adding bacon to the "breakfast cheesy." The potatoes are also delicious, and the Jax sauce goes great with both the pizza and hash browns. For lunch or dinner, they make a great bacon cheeseburger too. David and the other guys do a fantastic job and will make sure you get the sauces you want!

Don’t even know where to start. This is an awesome place that was put together to take place of the red elephant. The ordered the duval burger. The burger was cooked perfectly and the fries are amazing. Other than it being a wee-bit expensive, this is an awesome place! Really friendly staff as well which makes the experience even better. I don't understand all the good reviews. Definitely a cheap stop & poor quality. I got the jax grilled cheese & o-rings. O-rings were dry & salty. Grilled cheese was soggy. My husband got the burger. Burger was a precooked frozen patty. Not good quality food.

Disappointing quality based on the pictures and reviews. Got to go. Burger was dry, asked for extra red onions. Received what appears to be a regular amount of regular onion. I'm sorry maybe it's being picky but red onion and a regular onion are not the same one belongs on a burger and the other belongs no where near it. Just very disappointed was seriously looking forward to it because everything from yelp pointed to awesome but the quality was everything but that. Also didn't provide any condiments such as ketchup or mustard packets. One cutlery pack with a singular napkin.

This restaurant is f****** garbage. I have been waiting over an hour for my f****** dinner and then they f****** cancel it!!I won't order s*** from this place ever again! Unless you order from them or eat in they will serve you. But they won't fill my Grubhub order. Guess my money isn't good enough avoided this place at all f****** cost. Foods not that good anyway!!

Probably the best place for breakfast, on the weekends only I believe. Don't sleep on the breakfast pizza. I recommend adding bacon to the "breakfast cheesy." The potatoes are also delicious, and the Jax sauce goes great with both the pizza and hash browns. For lunch or dinner, they make a great bacon cheeseburger too.
