The food did not taste like I remembered from before and was very bland. I also looked forward to the Macaroni salad but just wasn't the same. The employee, a young female was very rude and I still gave a good tip despite that but I had regretted it when I paid over 70$ for four to go plates. I will never go back and hope I can warn others about it. Not worth 30 dollars and the no smiles when you first come through the door. From here on I will make Hawaiian BBQ from home. It's much better

I usually come to this location once every few months. Today was craving the beef plate and some spam masubi. I drove across town and I did get there 20 minutes before close. So I know I was cutting it close. I go in and guy behind the counter barely greeted. Understandable, it's late. I ordered my food and they guy asked if I had cash to pay cause he already shut down the system. I told him no, but he still allowed me to pay anyways. Food comes and the person in the kitchen slams it down on the kitchen window pretty hard that the closed lid flies open. Okay they are a little upset. I drive home and eat. The macaroni salad is dry and tastes sour, so I only had one bite. They gave me a lot of beef which was nice, but I did find a hair in it...so I stopped eating after. I tipped well since I know I was coming in pretty late and for the last minute trouble. But the food wasn't worth it.

This place is so good! I’ve never really had Hawaiian food but the Chicken Katsu Musubi was so crispy and juicy! Got one plate with Chicken Katsu and One plate with Kaula Pork. I love the Marconi salad so rich and creamy. The staff was super nice and explained what everything was. 10/10

I have been a happy customer of l&l for a long time even when I was in Las Vegas. I have always spoken greatly of the food and over all aloha welcome service but this will be the last time I go to either location. Picture shows two scoop rice and Mac and as you can see in the picture. Second they did not cook my over easy egg all the way. Good way to get salmonella. I’m from the islands myself and I am ashamed to recommend people to either location. Go back to what it was when you first opened and you will get my business back until then mahalos and farewell. ?

After vacationing in Hawaii, this is the only place to that can settle that my family's craving for island bbq. Upon entering, you hear Hawaiian music and an "aloha" from the staff. The decor is simple but clean (I honestly did not check the bathroom though). The menu is nothing fancy but food is delicious! Can't go wrong with anything you choose. My family's favorites are: the BBQ mixed plate, BBQ chicken, BBQ ribs and kalua pork. If you do order malasadas, you MUST eat it while it is still hot! Order those separately if dining in and order after you're done with your meal.

I knew L&L on the mainland wouldn't touch the islands, but good grief. The first time I went I ordered kalua pig and it was insanely bland. Thinking maybe it was a fluke and having a craving for Saimin, I went ahead and went to the website to order pickup. I ordered the katzu chicken, plain saimin and a Hawaiian sun. Drove 15 minutes to be told they didn't have Saimin or Hawaiian sun. When I asked for a refund for those items he said you'll have to go to the website. Considering the circumstances, I wasn't ok with that so he gave me cash back. Getting back to the office I opened the box I DID get, and not only did they not give me the rice I ordered, but the veggies look like they're from a can. On top of it, they gave me 2 knives and no fork. I don't think I'll be back, at least to this location. The Katzu is fine, but overall, meh.

Food was really good. They were very busy ( yeah for them) the only problem i had was the beef was very fatty almost 50% fat. But other than that the food was very

Came in for laulau. It's on the menu, but they don't serve it at this location. Settled for kalua pork and cabbage. It was good. You can get regular meal with two scoops of rice and two scoops of macaroni salad or mini with one scoop of each. I chose the mini, and it was just enough. The teriyaki meal looked good. Will have to come b back.

My sister had been wanting to try this restaurant for a couple of years now. Took her here, but I don't think it was what she expected. She did say the food had good flavor. She liked the salmon with barbecue sauce wrapped in seaweed. I got my mom the short ribs. She didn't like the texture, but she is picky. My husband ate them and said they had good seasoning. Noone ate the macaroni salad

Just a touch of island home here in Jax. Makes me miss the Aina and the local L&L in Oahu. There's really not much to say here...Loco Moko - LEGIT. Katsu Chicken - like auntie/uncle made it. I will say the KBBQ was a bit saltier than my taste - I expected it to be sweeter from my preference of Kalbi/KBBQ ribs, but still super good - not complaining at all, just something I noticed as different. The last star? well that's reserved for Lechon and some Huli chicken. Yo! Howzit brah that yall don't have Huli chicken! Other than that da kine Ono braddah! Mahalo nui loa, ohana!

The BBQ Mix is my go-to meal when dining or getting to-go here. It comes with grilled beef, chicken, and short ribs with two sides. Tasty and flavorful. I’ve tried pretty much everything on their menu. Food has been consistently good.
