My son and I were driving around, starving, looking for a kinda upscale place, got desperate, came here. Best mistake in a while. The ambiance is worth it alone. Lots of comic items, great movie stuff. Like a Cracker Barrel that decided to be cool. Then, the subs. We ordered sandwiches, but received top-notch hot subs that beat anything from any chain. As Arnold said, I'll be back.
Larry's made the mistake of shrinking the size of their sandwiches by trying to be sneaky and decreasing the width of their bread, as if we would not notice. They didn't want to follow Firehouse in just raising the prices dramatically, which most customers would prefer over shrinkflation. Sad, because they were our go-to for subs, especially with the military discount. They will probably try to deny it, but we were regulars for years and know the difference. Empty dining area. Very friendly staff. Lots of variety. Seems that most food is pre-ordered and picked up. There are plenty of fountain drinks to choose from, and the bathroom is around the corner so you can drink to your hearts content.
