My husband and I went to Lauren Seafood and Jazz for the first time on 3/16. The music, food, atmosphere and service were great! Jasmine was our waitress and she was very attentive and professional. We will definitely go back.

Food, music, and friendly service. There was a wait, but no rush especially with live R & B music which was great! Plus a little wait means fresh hot food.Every item was yummy and perfectly seasoned. This was my 1st, but not my last visit. Sampling my friend food… the Salmon, whiting, broccoli, seasoned fries, and glazed sweet potato fries were all great! The crab cake appetizers were awesome! ( good mixed drink). Lilly was a good waitress.

We paid for a table but the location wasn’t worth $50. It wasn’t packed to even need reservations, no line-no wait. I ordered the crab and shrimp roll & shrimp po-boy and my husband paid $35 for lamb chops and it was only 3…now that was unacceptable. Aside for his portion size, the food was great. Our waitress was nice. The vice was definitely for the grown folks (loved that!). The DJ talked too much but he read the room appropriately.

Ordered Wine. They only sell Merlot and white. No Malbec. Merlot was stale. Ordered a shot of 1800 Tequila. It was also stale.Nice and roomy but hot inside. Wasn't crowded.

I was pleasantly surprised by the nice place. Enjoyed Sunday brunch with a couple of friends. Service was excellent and our server was beyond friendly. The food was good and fresh. The bottomless ? mimosas were delicious, and I highly recommend. The atmosphere is nice. Jazz and R&B music was on point. Even has big screens to catch football highlights. I definitely hope this gem of a place makes it...This is outside the Regency mall, I believe the old Houlihans site.
A friend was having a birthday party here the space is nicely set up for a fabulous event and It was a fun party. However, the service was absolutely 0% on point. I ordered a side of tilapia and a side of hush puppies. They brought hush puppies and one fish. It comes with 2. I let the waitress know. It took ~1 hour for that other half of my fish to come out. As I sat patiently throughout that one wait the waitress told me about three times they're working on it. I had been up for over 19hrs and was ready to get home. This was absolutely unnerving. The hush puppies were very tasty hot and crispy. The tilapia was OK could use some more flavor very big portion and crispy. They also had phenomenal crab cake as hors d'oeuvres.

I love Lauren's. The atmosphere is truly for the older crowd. The bartender was great! She kept them coming (within reason). The chef Kevin came out personally to see how we liked the food. The DJ kept it pumping with that old school.****Try the shrimp and crab egg roll****

So I went to a white party at Lauren’s in Jacksonville Florida this past Saturday. The place was absolutely beautiful with white table cloths on the table and all. The music started out good from the DJ and the live band was really nice. I decided not to wait for a waitress any longer and went to the bar to get a drink big mistake. I guess I got that wrong bar tender, I ordered the Hennessy mixed drink on the drink special menu and was given a glass with Hennessy and ice and a splash of some orange liqueur not good at all. After getting back to my seat the waitress brought the lady next to me a drink and I asked what it was and she pointed to the same Hennessy drink I was supposed to have and it looked good, like it was made right and she said it was delicious. I won’t be ordering another mixed drink it’s beer from here on. So I Ordered wings and fries with the waitress and it took forever, I saw the waitress bring the food for a table that ordered same time as I so I asked about my food and she said it wasn’t ready yet, more than 30 minutes later she brings my food and it was ice cold. I started to send the food back but I had been drinking and needed something on my stomach so I ate 2 wings and took the rest home. I don’t fault the waitress for the cold food I blame management because when they have a party like that or know when they have large crowds like that they should have a couple food runners so people food won’t be cold so now I can’t order food anymore. I like this place so I really want to go back we danced a lot and had tons of fun until the DJ changed the music to rap and the dance floor was empty for 30 minutes so it was time to go.
