Little hole-in-the-wall authentic restaurant. The actual menu is smaller than what they have on the website but oh, so worth it. Wonderful tangy injera and large portions. If if you and your dining partner or different meals you have the option of having the meals served individually or as a single platter so everyone can share. This is going to be a monthly stop when I go to Jacksonville to shop at Fairfield Farms right around the corner.Vegetarian options: I had the vegetarian platter which had 8 vegetable offerings and plenty of injera. I had to take some home from lunch and had it room temperature for dinner.

Our favorite Ethiopian restaurant. They have become mainly a take out place, but have excellent food. The injera bread is tender and perfect. All vegetables are seasoned perfectly and lovely. The chicken Doro Wat is perfectly cooked and spiced, not too spicy for us American wimps. I highly recommend it. Don't judge the kitchen by the dismal atmosphere or dreary strip mall. The food is great. The owner is very friendly and outgoing.

Outside is a little questionable but inside is nice and food is great! Many interesting options!

I really enjoyed the service and delicious food at Nile! Everything was flavorful. I had the meat and vegetable platter, lamb, chicken, beef, greens, cabbage, lentils and some other wonderful veggies. This place is cozy. If you want to try Ethiopian food or love it, Nile is a must.

First time at this place and the food was absolutely amazing. The man who served us was so kind and the food felt like it was made with love. Such a nice peaceful environment. Would definitely recommend if you’re willing to try something new!

This was didn't feel authentic or maybe the style of their cooking is different in different regions of Ethiopia? This place was good but I've had better Ethiopian food. I ordered Togo and the next day I had the injera... idk if it molded or it was flour? Just there was a lot of white spots that weren't there the day before, didn't want to risk it so I threw the injera away. But the veggie combo was good.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!! 10/5Seriously one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time.We ordered the vegetarian combo (closest) and the meat combo (farther) to get a little bit of everything. Highly recommend if you haven’t tried Ethiopian or haven’t had any in a long while, like us. Fast, tasty, great atmosphere.

I had never eaten Ethiopian food before, so I thought I'd give it a go. I got Chicken doro and Alicha Denich, and green lentils. The meat was soooo good, the veggies were very well cooked, and the portions are generous. The injera was completely new for me, and I think it will take a few more tries to get used to, so next time I will probably get rice and injera on the side. The owner was there and was so nice and welcoming. Definitely give it a try!

Both times we have been here, it was almost completely empty. Turn off you would think... WRONG! Placed in the middle of a random strip mall off University Blvd. With a laundry mat next door this unassuming place serves the best Etheopian in Jax. It's family owned and run and the food is amazing, as well as the service.Get ready to dive in with your hands, because it's traditional and they don't not offer utensil options unless you ask for them. It's something completely different than most restaurants that you will see in the city... it's a complete hidden gem of a place. Be sure to try both Veg and Meat options at once you won't be disappointed.

The best Ethiopian food I've ever had hands down. I moved to Atlanta and have yet to find anything comparable

It's been years since I've had Ethiopian food, and this did not disappoint! The injera tasted how I remembered. The beef was flavorful and delicious. Portions were very generous for the price. Service was friendly. I'll have to come back and dine in sometime!

I absolutely enjoyed my dining experience at Nile Ethiopian Restaurant. I took my family here for my daughter's birthday and was treated as a royal. The store wasn't super crowded but was very clean and inviting. I started off by trying the famous ethiopian coffee which smelled amazing and offered that bold and rich taste. The coffee was served on a neat tray decorated with cultural designs. Next I tried an order of lentil sambusas which were crisp and lentils flavorful, not too oily but just right. I then moved on to try the vegan platter served with injera. The vegan platter was a major hit! I also tried the fish Lebleb which came with more delicious injera. The fish was fresh tasting and not too salty. Lastly I finished my meal with an order of baklava. If you haven't tried this desert, I would advise you try it. My overall experience was awesome. Great efforts get great results and feedback .
