Unfortunately it was my going away dinner and the birthday of my deceased mom, so maybe my expectations were a little high, but this isn’t a cheap place and there’s a dress code so, I expected good service. We didn’t get seated until 30 min after our reservation, which I brushed off. We had a drink at the bar, I’m trying to enjoy my time with my friends.Drinks were good, apps were high quality and full of flavor. The problem was that everyone’s entrees got delivered, except for mine- for THIRTY MINUTES. By the third time they told me it was “almost ready”, I cancelled. I didn’t want my friends waiting any longer to eat. No biggie, just don’t charge me. Then, the part that really got me, was that the (I presume to be) the manager came and proceeds to tell me “well it’s only been thirty minutes”. Are you kidding me? So I need attitude for your dropped ball? I wouldn’t recommend if you want the kind of service they want you to pay for. If you want to sit at the bar and take your chances, it’s a good bet. Avoid the blonde manager lol.

Amazing food, excellent service. Overall great experience. Went for my birthday dinner. I wasn't disappointed. My husband loved his oysters, edamame was wonderful, sea bass was delicious!! We will be back.

Finally a good Japanese restaurant in Jacksonville. My wife and I loved the sushi rolls and we also had the jalapeño hamachi and toro nuta. Will definitely come back!

Super upset. We went here for dinner this evening and we’re told the chefs would not make steak at 9pm. I have a shell fish allergy so I guess I had to stick w the adult chicken nuggets instead. It’s super discouraging since it’s over priced food to begin with and we planned for a good night bht didn’t get that.

This was my second visit to Norikase. We ordered several sushi rolls and two appetizers. The Toro Nuta is a good addition to the menu. The sushi rolls weren't as good as on my first visit. The service was also not as good as first visit; for example, the waitress forgot our order for a cocktail. This was particularly disappointing since the restaurant now automatically adds a 20% gratuity to all bills which is a change just started last month. I probably won't rush back to Norikase anytime soon.

Excellent and highly recommend if you love sushi. Manager gave us a free roll, which was obviously appreciated and turned into the perfect amount of food ordered for our meal. Was a terrific date night and hope we can get back there again.
Loved the low lighting. Very slow drink service. Poppin tuna Krudo was average, but the spicy tuna roll was good. Edamame was amazing!! Lychee martinis was amazing, but it isn't a martini glass size it's about two shots size in a short glass. Pickled cucumber salad tastes like bread and butter pickled pickles.

Absolutely stunning ambiance! It is truly the best dining experience I've had in Jacksonville. The setting is perfect for date night, and the high-end quality of Sushi will leave you not wanting to eat grocery sushi rolls ever again.
Had a fantastic birthday dinner here with my wife and our friends. Drinks and dinner were phenomenal all around. The A5 wagyu roll, yellowtail hamachi and the filet mignon were standouts. Absolutely the best sushi in Jacksonville.

All of the above and its basically a pub, so the food quality and assortment is as the one at the pub. There is nothing Japanese there but the plastic sakura tree outside. And they “add automatically” 20% gratuity to the bill, so ended up paying %40 tip. Will follow up on that ripoff. And it is soooo dark inside that it’s impossible to read the menu, not to mention a check. Music is so loud, that its pointless to have a conversation. Just drink. Like in a pub. Place is pretending to be fancy, well… fancy enough for Jacksonville youth. Aitnt is fancy darn good for a pub’yall? :) lol

Food was very good. However, very expensive and left hungry. Service was slow and hot food was cold when it got to the table. Many items were not available to order due to menu revisions. The menu is small to begin with, so there were not a lot of choices. Was very surprised to see an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill. In addition, the 20% gratuity was based on sales tax which is not appropriate. I lined out the 20% gratuity should be up to the patron not the establishment. The rolls were excellent. I do not think I will be returning based on the above concerns.
