The stir fry ribeye was burnt as well as some of the vegetables. The rice was slightly burnt it looked like they scraped the bottom of the pot for my serving. The krabmeat rangoons were good. At $35 it was very disappointing. I ordered it to go since it was a busy day at work. Not sure if I will go back. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants for lunch.

Finally found a Chinese sit down restaurant in Jacksonville. Small and cozy dining room and friendly waiters. Many Asian customers were eating when we walked in so our confidence level grew instantaneously. Had some sechuan beef, double fried pork and orange chicken, all were delicious but the beef was my favorite. Will definitely come back as I want to try all of the dishes in the menu. Special mention the excellent crispy wontons.

First time here and honestly upset at myself for missing out this whole time. The ambiance is cute and quiet and the food is top tier. Reminds me of the food I grew up eating in California. Super fresh and just tasty!!! Our server was great and he was actually who recommended each dish. Me and my boyfriend loved every bite!!

dirty, cracked furniture, greasy floor, watered-down Coca Cola, rude service. Tasteless food.

Had a craving for Chinese food and went to our go-to spot, Peony. The food and service were great, as always, with some of the best Chinese food around. I had Mongolian beef, Singapore noodles, and chicken egg rolls with their homemade mustard sauce. Give it a try if you haven't already!

Me and my family live about 30 minutes away and the drive is worth it each time! Never had anything I didn't absolutely love there.

Food - delicious! Service - fast, courteous and friendly! What I would call a spring roll they call an egg roll. It’s tasty but the only choices are chicken or vegetable. The sauce is tasty and really dresses up the roll. The WonTon soup was ok but the wontons are small and the filling not very flavorful. The shrimp fried rice is really good but I added soy sauce just to satisfy my particular taste. The restaurant is spacious and very clean. The reasons for only 4 stars on atmosphere is because it is a large open room made of all hard surfaces and when I was there at lunch time with the place half full it was very noisy. And if you’re looking for Chinese lanterns and lions you’ll not find them here. But neither of these things will keep me from coming back again.

Had to try this place as people keep saying it's great. Went in for dinner and couldn't help but notice the only people that were dining there were not who I would expect to see in a place that serves good Chinese food. Well, now I know why. The krab wontons are good, chicken egg roll also. That's where it ends. We ordered salt and pepper wings. They were horrible, absolutely no flavor (not even salt or pepper), but they did leave a weird u pleasant after taste that I think is feom the oil or breading...maybe both. General Tso with fried rice was probably the worst I have had. We asked for extra spicy..it was not spicy at all. It also had a weird after taste from the breading and was not crispy. The fried rice is just white rice with some soy sauce. We tried a Beef noodle dinner recommended by the server...it had wide flat noodles, beef, onions and bean sprouts. It was ok. The service was great. Loved the guava candies they give with the check. Wish the food was as great as the service. More than likely will not go back.

There's something about Chinese food on a Saturday night! Hubby and I headed down to Peony Asian Bistro this past weekend after not visiting for almost a year. We were greeted immediately and directed to an open table. We ordered our drinks and an appetizer of krabmeat rangoons. These were just a good as we remembered them to be. Crunchy on the outside, sweet and creamy on the inside. For our main course, we ordered a couple things we've had before plus one new item. The Peony fried rice with bbq pork was delicious! Good color, flavorful, lots of pork throughout. We loved it last time, I'm glad we ordered it again. We also really liked the general chicken during our first visit so we ordered that again, too. They use all white meat chicken, a lighter breading and plenty of sauce. The general sauce was sweet, tasty and had just a little kick. It was our first time trying the sesame chicken. We both really liked that as well. The sauce was thick and sweet with no shortage of sesame seeds. Last time we had the sweet & sour chicken which I loved. Hubby prefers his Asian chicken sauced so we skipped it this time. The broccoli served at Asian spots isn't usually anything special but at Peony they steam it perfectly and it tastes so fresh. A properly steamed vegetable with sweet Asian sauce is awesome. Keep up the good job Peony! We will be back soon.
