The biggest disappointment comes from not thinking you're about to eat Caribbean oxtail and rice and peas.... but instead it tastes like soul food. Don't get me wrong, because it wasn't that the food was horrible but I feel ultimately betrayed Also, the location was in a place called Burger Queen if you're looking for it and I didn't find this out until after driving around for five minutes and I had to call to pickup my order.

Best beef patties.... I love the way they cook theirs. Always fresh. I've never eaten anything else from there but I'm sure it's good. Family owned and ran, friendly vibe.

This place is da real ting : ) best Caribbean food we've had! The oxtail just melts. The cabbage was so unexpected! The curry and spicy Mac were badass and you've got to try the pineapple drink! Also, that peach smoothie!

So it's a lazy Sunday afternoon, I'm riding around trying to find something different to eat. I see pineapple's across the way and i say what the heck. I've passed by it many times have never actually tried it. Like many self-proclaimed foodies, i take a moment to check out the reviews before makihg the final decision to stop by....they were mixed, leaving me with no choice but to have to decide for myself. After browsing the menu, i decided upon ordering a curry chicken dinner with rice and peas and spicy mac and cheese, a j*** chicken dinner with the same sides, a side of cabbage, and a beef patty.....all of which i planned to share with my family. So how was it you may be wondering now that I've taken 10 minutes of your time telling you what i ate today? Well here it is from start to finish...First, let me say the customer service was A1. From the start of the pleasant phone interaction to being greeted with smile and hello as i entered the establishment...10/10. The complimentary drink probably didn't hurt either. It was BOMB btw. I wish i knew what it was called- tasted like papaya and mangos. Now to the food. The gentleman who brought my food to the counter opened the boxes so that i could see each meal. I was pleasantly surprised that each box seemed to have PLENTY of food- contrary to some reviews i had read. So that was a plus! On the way home the scent drove me nuts. I wanted to tear through the bags and bite the beef patty right on the butt but i decided to be fair and wait until i got home. When i got home i made a plate with a little of each item on it. Here's how they all made out...Beef patty: 9/10You can tell this is an AUTHENTIC handmade beef patty. The dough was awesome and the spice in the meat was just enough. It was delicious. Only giving it a 9 because i should have eaten it otw home like i wanted to and not shared ?.Curry chicken: 9/10It too was delicious. There were several chunks of extremely tender meat that fell from the bones. If we're being perfectly honest, the bone was tender too....dont ask how i know.Jerk chicken: 7/10Whew Lord...yall like spice and peppers??? Because this is where its at...alll in the j*** chicken. Now this isnt a bad thing because that's how j*** chicken should be. But I'm sad to say i am a whimp and currently wiping sweat particles from my brow. It did have a nice grilled taste, and again, the portion size was generous.Okay i think im getting long winded...lets wrap this upThe sides were all good. Rice and peas were my favorite side, followed by cabbage, and then the mac n cheese (it has a little kick fyi)My over thoughts on pineapples is that it was a wonderful experience and delicious meal that I will certainly be partaking in again. The customer service was awesome, food tasted great, and we have plenty for leftovers. I cant wait to get back for another one of those drinks and a beef patty as well as to try some other items. I hope round two is the same!I'm sad i didnt think to take a picture...didn't expect to write a review .

Let me start by saying their food is always good. However it was $17 + $3 tip, $20..for Chicken Curry and two sides. Rice and Peas are a side and then I chose plantains. I got 4 small pieces of chicken, 5 plantains and a whole lot of rice. We all know rice ain’t expensive. I expected more meat than what was given. Disappointed this time.

The music is inappropriately loud. We ask if it could be turned down and it was MOMENTARILY but was almost immediately turned back up. The customer service is lacking. The table cloths are dirty. The food selections are limited. Several things on the menu that we ordered were not available. We were only told after we ordered them. The food was very expensive and inedible. Not good at all.

I called to place a To Go order for curry shrimp, I was quoted $25. I know it was a bit expensive for a regular meal so I verified the price. I decided to go ahead and continue with the order because I was for sure for $25 it wasn’t going to be a “regular” size curry shrimp and it HAD to be something special that set it aside from the normal $15 -$17 Curry Shrimp you can get at most Caribbean restaurants … Sure enough I should have gone with my instincts and not place that order … I literally had 7 (SEVEN) shrimp , a normal serving of rice and broccoli for $25 and to add insult to injury the food was SUPER SALTY… I hope that $25 serves the business well because they will never get another Dollar out of me!!!! Pure greed and I’m sure the shrimp isn’t even wild caught so there is no way it should be $25…

I do enjoy this spot, they give you a good amount of food for the price you pay. The Salt fish and ackee wasn’t authentic, they use tilapia which isn’t a salt fish. But I have had other dishes that are good!

Restaurant was dark but clean. The customer service from the lady who took our order was terrible she even got on her cell phone while I was ordering. Food wasn't good had no flavor and seemed like it was left over the j*** chicken was extremely dry even though it was covered in sauce. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY YELP REVIEWS SHOULD HAVE KNOWN WHEN THERE WERE NO OTHER CUSTOMERS. If I could give it a ZERO I WOULD!!!

Word's cannot describe as well as the pictures of the Burnt Toaster Strudel un-Beef Patty as well as my Spicy Mac N Cheese. I ordered tonight thru a food service so I called BEFORE I placed my order to make sure the items I wanted were available which I was told YES but that was not the case! De Real Ting is FRFR and never disappointed me! I spend so much $ a month on Ox Tails and although there were a few that had meat on them and were not bad but I would never drop 1.00 in this place let alone the 30.00 I spent tonight. Oh, coco bread could be a weapon, smh!!

My family and I went to this restaurant for the first time today and they were out of drinks and desserts and chicken tenders...then we waited over 30 minutes for our food(jerk chicken)which was too spicy and the cabbage was old, the macaroni was not seasoned well and the salmon and shrimp had a horrible after taste. All in all we will not be going back.
