Ambiance is lovely but food was just OK. The seafood spaghetti had a lot of seafood but the sauce was kind of bland. Appetizers were much more enjoyable. A bit pricey but they didn't skimp on the food.

Food has always been the reason we return. Unfortunately the service is intermittently elitist and dismissive. Our last visit was less than acceptable. We waited at the front desk while the gals behind the desk bantered back and forth clicking away at their terminal, and after a few minutes they looked up to acknowledge us and seemed irritated that we were there. We had reservations for two and after passing numerous open 2 person booths, we were seated at the last open table at the kitchen entrance in earshot of all the commotion and banter from the back of the house. Seemingly the hostess desk didn't advise the servers we were breathing, so it was quite some time before it was realized we were even there. Once service started, the drinks and food was as we expected and we enjoyed our selections. The manager breezed by as if not to be burdened, and we are not ones to make a complaint. So we ended our dining experience and will likely not return. We had high hopes for our night and looked forward to previewing OCEAN next visit. But with this level of experience, i'm happy to invest my time and money elsewhere. Hoping they get things ironed out.

We had a business lunch at Taverna in San Marco yesterday and I have to say I was impressed with the service, food and ambiance of the restaurant. We had reservations so we were greeted and seated right away. They have outdoor seating on a front patio and it was a beautiful day but we chose to eat inside. It was pretty crowded but it was never so loud we couldn't hear each other speak. Our waitress was right there to take our drink order as we waited for the third member in our party to arrive. Once everyone was there we all ordered lunch. I ordered a beat salad with no extra protein, my husband ordered a chicken sandwich with a side salad and our colleague ordered a pasta dish. We chatted and I was surprised how quickly our food arrived. Everything was delicious! Our waitress was pretty intuitive, she realized that we were having a little business meeting so she cleared our dishes out of the way and was around to check in and refill our drinks. I want to return and try some fresh pasta the next time we come back. It really looked delicious. I highly recommend Taverna we had a great experience and I know you will too!

The food at taverna is always stellar and our most recent trip was no exception. We went for brunch and everyone loved the food. We had the lemon ricotta pancakes, the crab cake Benedict and the pastry basket. All of the brunch cocktails were delicious as well. Our server was very friendly and provided great recommendations. We had a reservation and were seated promptly upon arrival. The atmosphere is welcoming and modern and slightly upscale. Highly recommended.
