Was here for lunch recently and was good. Came back with family for breakfast. Waiter was fine but food was average at best. Husband's eggs cooked incorrectly but we had to search the waiter down after he didn't return for more than 10 min. Requested the eggs to be done correctly (not hard) took 3 attempts. Then they charged us for 2 of his orders- realized they made an error and just took one off. Really, you should have comped his meal- he ate way after we were all done. The BLAT was not very good. A thin smear of avocado with hardly any bacon but lots of lettuce. Very disappointed after having a good salad lunch there.

The menu has alot of super unique options so if you're into variety you're going to be pleasantly surprised. The decor is top notch and easy on the eyes, especially the back patio with the plentiful plants and outdoor seating.I'm rating this low due to the cold, even off putting vibe of the place - from the staff to the customers it felt as if we were intruding and they'd prefer we would go somewhere else. Our group ordered breakfast items and the bacon came out limp, and we had to ask for tea and water refills. The food was good and we were happy to leave.

Our server Hayden was amazing. Hayden is so attentive of her guests and has the best personality. The food was awesome and we enjoyed sitting in the beautiful courtyard outside.

The atmosphere outside on their patio was amazing and secluded(also shaded which is a plus). Our server was very friendly and even gave her recommendations. The food was average the chicken in my chicken and waffles was dry and it wasn’t “hot” although it was called the hot honey flavor. Also the syrup was cold (not sure if that was intended or not). Regardless, the atmosphere was worth it and we’ll be going back!

Stopped in for pre-dinner snacks/drinks. We sat outside since we had dogs with us. There were a lot of options on the menu I was stuck between but went with the goatacado salad. This salad was great! Exactly what I was looking for, a light and tasty appetizer before dinner. Service was a little slow however our server was attentive.

Nestled in the heart of Jacksonville, this charming café effortlessly blends comfort, quality, and community. Now, let’s talk about Hayden. Our server was an absolute gem. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her friendly demeanor made us feel like cherished guests. Kudos to Hayden for going above and beyond!

Such a unique list of choices on the menu! We started with the Panko fried zucchini and it didn't disappoint! Lightly breaded with a fantastic aioli. My friend had the fish tacos and they looked amazing! My sandwich was delicious! Eggs, bacon, avocado, and tomato on sourdough bread. Love the outdoor seating!

7/2024 The manager Amanda G is extremely rude!!! She isn't formiliar with the prices or menu items, but have the audacity to have a nasty attitude. I would give no stars if possible.

Visited The Local recently. The Happy Hour seemed to be a great deal and the menu looked very interesting. We walked in were able to choose our own seating. Inside featured a casual atmosphere with art featured and really cool barcodes where you could look into the artist. A great idea. They had really nice outdoor seating as well. We arrived at a time when lunch and brunch were both still available and there was a large menu for both. I ordered a Luminescence $4 draft. Great deal. We also wanted to share the Zucchini Fries for an appetizer off of the Happy Hour menu but they were not available. I ordered the Portabello sandwich and my wife ordered the Enzo sandwich. The portabello sandwich was a good combination of vegetables and flavors, but a bit salty. It was also on a normal hamburger type roll. That was the wrong choice. It would have been better on ciabatta bread or something more hearty. It came with the homemade chips. The chips were fresh, crispy and really good. Enzo sandwich was also good and fresh. This was the bread they should have used for the portobello sandwich. The sweet potatoes as a side were good, just OK. The service was spotty. We were waited on immediately, our food came out very quickly but then it became somewhat spotty. I basically had three different servers. I definitely would have ordered another beer if someone came back to the table. We waited a bit for the check and then to pay as well. Good ideas, a lot of choices, nice environment, the execution here needs to be a bit better.

We came at a good time, right at 3pm so there was plenty of seating choices and happy hour was just starting. Unfortunately, the happy hour appetizer food item we wanted was not available (Zucchini fries) so we opted for just sandwiches to split and share. I had a soda water with lime (no charge, woohoo) and my husband had a happy hour draft ($4 but listed at $6 on the check and was quickly changed on our bill. Overall, service was good but would have ordered another draft if we had the opportunity. The portabella melt was a bit salty but overall had good flavor. It would be fantastic on a hearty roll or bread, the roll it came on (a soft hamburger type roll) became soggy fast and did not hold up to the other ingredients. The Enzo sandwich had great flavors, I really liked how the fig aioli elevated the prosciutto, mozzarella and arugula. Sadly, the prosciutto had a thick and rubbery fatty part that was large and inedible taking away from my total enjoyment of this sandwich. We ordered the fresh chips and sweet potato (home?) fries as sides. The chips were good but I didn't realize the sweet potatoes would be chunks of what seemed like a cut cup baked sweet potato-mostly mushy and not crispy like I expect fries or even home fries to be. One last item of note, the chairs inside are incredibly uncomfortable, metal and not great for sitting in for long periods of time. The menu was quite extensive but I'm not sure we will be back to try anything else.

Excellent food!! Sweet potato fries are stellar. Good burger.Awful parking lot - regularly full despite the restaurant not being at capacity. Spots near The Local call out that you could be towed for parking there.
