The food is always good and there is always plenty of it. Sometimes the line moves to slow for someone who is on their lunch break.

Hands down best food in Jax ! Absolutely can get anything you want as much as you want as long as you're willing to pay for it which isn't too bad on the wallet either I love taking my family there or stopping in my myself

The restaurant is in the plaza by Chick-fil-A. The restaurant was pretty clean. The food was hot and good. They have plenty of options for you to chose from. The seasoning is pretty good. The pork chops were a little thin and they were light on the rice. More rice would have been nice. The cabbage was a little spicy. I didn't need that much hot sauce. The Mac and cheese was a little dry, not as cheesy as I wanted. I like the one on lane and Normandy better.

The most dysfunctional restaurant I've been to. So unorganized. Whoever the young man was at the register is not capable of handling large amounts of orders. Looks like everyone just does whatever they want at tim Thank you to the young lady and management staff who helped.

Never a bad meal here. The macaroni and cheese is a family favorite and the collards are so full of flavor. My kids favorite is the vegetable plate, which makes this mama happy. The smothered pork chops are heavenly. The portions are big and I want to take a nap after this delicious meal. Tip: when you go through the entrance, keep an eye out for the arrows so you know which direction to enter the line. It's cafeteria style which makes it easy to order -- but definitely hard to decide.

I love eating here for lunch! They have so many options for a good well balanced meal. Good environment and wonderful staff that are in the customer service food biz. I recommend this restaurant to everyone who loves a good home cooked meal with love.

Ate here Sunday and 7 out of the 10 people in my party were sick that night. They ran out of food and silverwear. The chicken was chewy and the sweet potatoes were like mini hockey pucks. Lines are too long for the food to be less than mediocre. They call themselves a cafeteria, but don't understand the concept. A cafeteria line is CONSTANTLY moving. The young lady who starts taking your order slows EVERYTHING down. Take my advice.... RUUNNN!!! ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️

Soul Food Bistro has been my family and I's sit down go to spot after the Jaguars football games for about 3 years now. I will say if you go on a Sunday, be mindful to get there early because after church and a football game....the wait time will have you there for a good minute. Because of the nail biting game, we went later than our usual time and got there around 4:30p and waited for about 30 minutes in the line. I decided to get the daily special which was between the turkey wing and meatloaf. Once you order your food, it's like a cafeteria style type ordering after you inform them of the plate of your choosing. With each plate you get two sides and a piece of fluffy cake like cornbread. For my order, I had a smothered turkey wing plate (which was a wing tip) with yellow rice and gravy, collard greens, and mac and cheese. For dessert, I added sweet potato pie, which was in a personal pie pan. The mac and cheese is always consistently so cheesy and so good. The collard greens were ok, just had more vinegar in this particular batch than I would prefer. I was disappointed that turkey wing special was just a wing tip and not multiple pieces of turkey wings, however the wing tip was enormous! I was not a fan of the sweet potato pie, as someone had a heavy hand with the allspice/nutmeg seasoning, and it was too overpowering. I couldn't eat all of the food as you will always walk out with a heavy box at Soul Food Bistro. The service if you're dining in, I think her name is Tandy or Tammy - she is ALWAYS energetic and friendly. The flavor, taste, and the amount of food you get from this local business will keep me coming back.

Food was good. But the line is way to long. Country Fried SteakGolden Fried Pork Chops was delicious. worth trying. but not with that line. FYI didn't know that their was a separate lune for the take out. recommend take out shorter line.

I really wanted some good food and was told my cuzo to try this place. The line wasn't long but we had to wait for about 15 mins. Everything looked AMAZING. We ordered kids tenders with Mac, Baked white meat chicken with collard greens & candy yams, baked dark meat with collard greens & mac & cheese, sweet potato pie & peach cobbler. They were out of the red velvet cake. I must say everything was DELICIOUS. I wasn't crazy about the kids tenders because they were fried too hard for my flavor but they were tasty. I can't wait to visit Jville again we are definitely making it a necessary stop!

It was my friend and I first time trying their food. Giving them 5 stars. Everything we ordered was very delicious. They just need to cook the rice lol. Coz it was a little hard. Other than that all was PERFECT! We recommend to y'all try.

They have some fried chicken that is finger licken good! Their collard greens, are amazing. If you have never had collard greens, try them and you will be a fan! The Mac and cheese is real Mac and cheese, and all it's cheesy goodness. This time around, I did a double Mac and cheese, because I enjoy it so much! And don't even get me started on that cornbread! I added some Kerry gold butter to it, (from my house) and it melted in my mouth. It was so good. Their smothered pork chops in gravy looked so good too! That is one I will try next time. My friend said she hasn't had anything she didn't like, so far. They have meals that are great priced! 10.99-12.99 for single meals. It comes with 2 big pieces of chicken, 2 sides and a corn bread. It was good for 2 meals for me. This is a wonderful ministry outreach, where they provide for jobs for people around the street! On Sunday they are packed, and the lines are out the door. So if your in a hurry, I don't recommend Sunday. We went on a Friday, and we were in and out of there in 7-10 minutes, with our order to go. So the lines were not bad at all. I was rolling, when I walked out and tried to figure out what was in the vending machine, yes. They now have fake lashes for vending machines, for the days your feeling extra fancy! The bathrooms were somewhat clean, when I went in. There was a toilet that someone didn't flush, but I appreciated that they had a good size bathroom with lots of stalls. And the parking was spacious, with no issues.
