Well visiting Jax and I was craving for some dim sum. Because of the good reviews, my expectations were high. But having lived in both NYC and CA Bay Area, I can tell you the dim sum here is really bad. They are mostly pre-made frozen dim sums that you order from online Asian supermarkets. They just steam them and serve them as if they made them. If only I knew, I wouldn’t go. So I wrote this review for ppl who enjoy authentic 飲茶 style dim sum, this place will no doubt be very disappointing.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't soup dumplings suppose to have soup in them? Otherwise, they would just be dumplings right? And if they had soup in them, like they should, they would be traditionally served with an Asian soup spoon, which they didn't have. I'm not sure why the reviews praise the soup dumplings. I'm confused. Also, nothing special about the service or atmosphere.

I don't know how to describe zero service but zero is the word that comes to mind. Chlorinated pool water. I had to walk up to the counter several times for each item.

BBQ pork fried rice was the consistency of n paste. Water was undeniable. Service was nonexistent.

Foods are great. Definitely recommend to you guy. I just wish the service lady is a bit nicer. She literally doesn’t have customer service manner at all. But we like the lady that deliver the food to the table though. She should be the one working with customer.

Very disappointed! Room temp to cold Dim Sum. No sauces to dip besides a little chili oil, light soy or Sriracha. Do better.

Walked in 20 minutes before closing to try the sesame balls. Figured it's not something that takes long. The lady rudly said we are closed after acting like I wasn't standing there for service. I get working a restaurant all day but you didn't even have your sign off yet. Shame cause I wanted to try but there plenty dim sum joints. Very rude customer service.

Timwah......thank you for providing me with delicious dim sum. As someone who grew up near NYC Chinatown, I was spoiled for choices growing up. When I moved down to Jax, I knew I needed to find a good dim sum spot. I wasn't successful until I found Timwah. The pai gu (chopped spare ribs) are the best I've ever had, so tender and fall off the bone - I've never had that happen before! It usually requires some aggressive biting and pulling to get the meat off. Dan tot is also very good. The crust is extremely buttery.I'll be back again timwah!!

I have had this place saved on Google Maps for a while. I am SO glad we finally did! Everything we had was so flavorful and so good! You can tell everything is made from scratch. The menu is also very reasonable priced. All of this food you see was $45. The only 'complaint' we have is at first one of the waitresses wasn't as friendly, but she must have been busy, because she was great in the end! We did have to walk up to ask for more water, but overall, the experience was fantastic! We will definitely be back!

There is a good amount of space for an ample amount of customers. Not to close together from table to table. We ordered lots of things, shrimp fried rice, shrimp steamed dumplings, pork fried dumplings, pork and beef spare ribs, spring rolls (which were amazing, a must order) and pork steamed dumplings. All of the food was very tasteful, flavors were amazing. The service wasn't all that great, we had to get up a few times to let them know we needed something. Other than that, the food came out pretty fast and was super hot and fresh!

So delicious!! For under $50, we had quite the feast with the shrimp & chive dumplings, taro buns, and eggplant being our favorite dishes. The restaurant is so clean and inviting, and service was efficient and friendly. We will surely be back! Can’t wait to try the egg tarts and har gow next time.

Read the reviews and had to give it a try. For not even 50$ we had a vertiable feast of Deliciousness. And Even though we did have a lost dish, we didn't really miss it. 10/10 if Dim Sum is your thing.
