I was told that if I haven't had pizza from Tony D's, I haven't had good pizza in Jacksonville. Personally, I wasn't impressed. Im not a fan of NYC style pizza. The service was great. Very friendly staff.

they should specify the doors close at 8:30pm but the kitchen closes earlier. they were willing to make whatever we wanted EXCEPT it had to be take-out. in other words we can wait until they make the food because they want our money but we can’t stay there to eat it…the owner shouldn’t leave his restaurant. the front asked the cook what he wanted to do and he made the decision….LOVE the food but the service lately has been pretty bad

First time ordering here. Been in jacksonville for sometime but can't find pizza that reminds me of what I grew up on in NY/Boston. I finally found it. EXCELLENT! WORTH THE DRIVE! GOD BE WILLING THIS IS MY NEW PIZZA JOINT.

What happened to Tony D's pizza? It's been a while since I ordered from here and it used to be the best NY style pizza in Jacksonville. We were so disappointed when we went last week for dinner- the pizza was below average, soggy and tasteless, and in the lasagna there was barely any meat. Sad.
Tony D’s Pizza is the best in Jacksonville. Authentic NY Style Pizza with ample portions and reasonable prices. The complementary bagel knots are a nice touch. The salads ( love the Greek salad) are fresh and the lasagna is a great choice if you don’t want pizza. Service is excellent, especially Maritza and Cameron who have been there for years. It gets crowded on weekends so you may experience wait times Restaurant is clean and there is ample free parking. One downside: the owner is aloof and unfriendly in my opinion.Parking: Ample parking. Restaurant is located in a strip mall behind Walgreens on Baymeadows Road.

This was my first time at this restaurant. It’s very clean and welcoming. The food was fresh and plated very neatly. I had the garden salad which was very fresh and had the greenest lettuce I have seen in a while. I also had the personal pepperoni pizza which came out timely and hot. It had a great taste to it. The sweet tea was sweet but not overly sweet. Perfect sweetness. I def will be back. The staff were super friendly and nice.Kid-friendliness: The music was kid friendly and soft. It went well with the welcoming atmosphere.
We used to eat at TonyD's all the time a few years ago and it was always on point. Saturday was the 1st time in 6 years and it was lackluster at best. The Margherita and Meat pizza's were just okay. Our server was not attentive and seemed unsure of herself. I don't believe I'll be taking the trip from Mandarin again to eat there. There are several pizza joints around here that are way better.
